The Floormate JET is a cordless device that's been designed to vacuum and wash a variety of different floor types at the same time. Each JET is powered by a large rechargeable battery, and you'll get two batteries with each device, which means your cleaning won't ever be delayed by the recharging process. Each's device's rinse-and-storage system is meant to clean the device so you won't have to give yourself dirty hands by doing it yourself.

After a battery has been loaded into your device, and you've filled the appropriate tank (one of two) with the included cleaning solution, it can be powered up. Following that, when you push the trigger on the handle, its spray nozzle will release some of this solution directly ahead of the device, as you move it toward the mess you want to eliminate. As you roll the device over the mess, no matter what it's made of, the device's microfiber brush will wash away dirt while its bristles gently but firmly scrub the affected area. At the same time, the suctioning force of the device will pick up any stray pieces of debris and suck up dirty water, making your floor clean and clear of any leftover filth.
Each Floormate JET has two tanks that will separate any portion of the cleaning solution that hasn't been used from dirty water that the device has picked up. When you're getting your device ready, you'll add the cleaning solution to one tank, while the other tank will automatically pick up dirty water as you use your device for cleaning. As a result, by adding the tool's cleaning solution to your floors, you'll never end up unintentionally spreading more dirt around.
This cleaning tool is cordless and battery-powered, so you won't have to plug it in, and you'll be able to clean virtually any area without being restricted by the length of an extension cord. Each tool comes with two rechargeable batteries and a charger, which means that when one battery loses its charge, you can just pop it on the charger and pop the other one into your device.
Some vacuum cleaners are big and bulky, with a round or square shape, but this one is very slim in comparison to many of the alternative options. The Floormate JET is much taller than it is wide, so it won't take up nearly as much space in a closet as a wider, bulkier vacuum would. Plus, each one doesn't have a long nozzle—something else that will often take up a lot of room.
Each of these devices has its own self-cleaning system, which means that you won't be required to clean the device with your hands (a potentially dirty task). Instead, you'll be able to add a bit of water to the tool's rinse-and-storage compartment and push down on the trigger, which will cause the device to start cleaning its own brush.
The brush that you'll likely want to use to clean up most messes is the microfiber one with bristles, but each JET also comes with an extra-gentle microfiber brush. You may want to swap this one in if you're working on a more delicate surface that you don't want bristles to touch.
If you don't have a Floormate JET, you might choose to get down on your hands and knees and clean up spills or other messes. However, this can be physically strenuous and may cause you physical pain over time. Fortunately, you'll be able to use this cleaning tool almost anywhere without moving out of a standing position, thereby saving your knees, your arms and possibly your back from harm. Due to the fact that you won't need electricity to run this tool, you'll even be able to push it out onto a deck or patio and use it there.
When you turn on this cleaning tool, the cleaning solution won't start shooting out of the nozzle in a random and haphazard fashion. In fact, you'll be in control of exactly how it's dispensed since you'll need to push down on the device's trigger to let any out. Therefore, if you pay careful attention while you're using your device, you likely won't end up wasting any of this cleaning solution by using it to coat something that's already clean.
With each Floormate JET, you'll receive a compact task light, which is a sort of flashlight that you'll be able to use while completing cleaning tasks with your device. This light may come in handy if you want to clean up messes with your JET at night without turning on a whole bunch of bright lights. You may also find it useful if the power has gone out and you want to continue to use this battery-powered vacuum.
You'll only get one eight-ounce bottle of cleaning solution with this device, and an eight-ounce bottle is actually smaller than many shampoo bottles. If you don't use the solution extremely sparingly, you'll likely need to replace your bottle frequently, and how to do so isn't made clear. You may be able to add a different type of solution to your JET, but this isn't the best idea, as it may not work effectively and may even damage the cleaning tool. Without the proper solution, if you want to be completely safe, you'll have to stick to plain water.
When it comes to your device's dirty water tank, be sure to empty it after every use. If you don't, the device could stop picking up dirty water for you, and the tank could even begin to leak, potentially making your floors more soiled than they were to start with.
Without one of these multi-purpose cleaning tools, you'd likely have to spend up to hours sweeping, vacuuming and washing your floors, but this device will help you complete all these tasks in one go. Consequently, you'll be able to cut down the number of minutes you spend on floor-cleaning by at least half, and you'll have more time for other work or pleasurable activities. When you use this device, you can also expect your floors to dry more quickly than they would if they were coated with soap and water from a mop bucket or sponge. This means you won't have to waste as much time waiting around and delaying certain household activities until certain areas are dry.
