Flexzilla is a durable, lightweight outdoor hose that is incredibly comfortable, soft, and easy to use. Special designs make it easy to put on and take off different components or nozzles. It will remain pliable and soft even if you are in subfreezing temperatures. Moreover, it will slide over cement, not abrade easily, feels like silicone rubber, hardly kinks, and has anodized aluminum fittings rather than brass fittings. Pick the size that works for your space and the stream power you need.
The cost of Flexzilla is $39.98 plus $8.99 shipping, for a total price of $48.97. This price was obtained from the As Seen on TV commercial page found at buyflexzilla.com; however, the company has since ceased selling Flexzilla and has taken down the website. Flexzilla may still be found for sale on Amazon or Ebay.
This design is lightweight, hardly weighing more than a few pounds, even at the longest length. As such, anyone can carry it around with ease, even children or the elderly.
The new SwivelGrip technology lets the hose turn freely as you are moving it around your yard. Said technology is responsible for ensuring this hose does not get kinked or tangled.
This technology is also what makes the connectors easy to use and leak-free.
This all-weather design means you can leave the hose outside and use it in any weather. It does not matter if you live in a hot, humid area or you are enduring the cold of winter and trying to melt ice off the car. This hose will still work.
You get adjustable nozzles with the order that offer various hose pressures.
This hose comes with washers which makes it comparatively better than other flexible hoses because the washers stop it from leaking.
This hose has received many positive reviews for its lack of links. Softer than other hoses on the market, it does not kink no matter what. Pulling the hose across rocks or obstacles in a backyard will simply cause it to hold over on itself and then return to a normal state with a flick of your wrist.
This hose lacks any coil memory--the situation which often occurs in other hoses that naturally coil after they have been coiled once or twice. Instead this hose returns to a normal, straightened state as soon as you turn on water. At most, it might twist near a figure 8 but it does not interfere in how well it works.
This hose is nice for residential or commercial uses because it is available in four lengths. Consumers can buy the regular twenty five foot length hose, the fifty foot length hose, the seventy five foot length hose, or the one hundred foot length hose.
The aluminum connectors you receive are prone to scratching and denting, more than brass ones that come with alternative hoses. If the GHT connector is not tight enough it will leak more than other connectors.
One of the only downfalls to this design is that it is costly compared to other flexible hoses that are similar in design. Even though there are free components offered with each order, it is still twice the cost of some alternatives on the market and without any noticeable reason for such a higher cost.
This hose comes in a bright green color. While for some this might blend in better with a yard, there are currently no alternative colors so users are stuck with the bright green. Additionally, the nozzle components are only available in the one color too.
A lot of users have complained that within months this hose is covered in mold on the inside and the outside. Other users have tried multiple hoses and still faced this issue. Understand that in some areas, if water is left inside or turned on, or you have certain temperatures, mold can grow on traditional hoses like this. However, it does not impact the functionality, but does render the hose a health concern.
In order to prevent kinking, according to the directions, you have to keep the walls of the hose pressurized. When the hose is empty, it will kink, but then the kinks go away when you turn it on.
In order to prevent flattening in the hose rel, you have roll up the hose when it is still pressurized by the nozzle or value. This can be annoying for some users.
Yes, this hose really works. It works well too. Consumers have mostly good things to say. Now outdoors tasks are made easy as you can effortlessly move this hose anywhere across the yard. Performing in any weather, the water you get out of it is purportedly safe to drink, though you might want to check your local water safety first. With leak free three piece nozzle kits, users just snap into place the nozzle they want and start spraying.
Remove the plastic holding the hose together and take off the cardboard label.
Connect the dark green end to your spigot by screwing it on clockwise. Continue until it is tightly in place.
Roll out the Flexzilla hose by carrying the large bundle away from the spigot.
Attach the spray nozzle by screwing it on clockwise to the other end of the hose. The bottom bright green part tightens directly onto the hose.
Pressurize the hose by turning on the water from your spigot. Turn the top part of the nozzle clockwise slowly until the water begins to flow however you want. Tighten or loosen for wide arch sprays versus tight streams.
Forever Steel Hose is a nice alternative, though it is a flexible design made of stainless steel, not the lightweight material of this hose. Similar kink-free features mean it will not bend or snap or in any way stop working well when dragged or pulled.
The Pocket Hose line of garden hoses has a line of eight different flexible garden hoses similar to this one. All of these build off the previous version after the company received complaints. So each version is allegedly somehow better than the previous version. The most current option is slightly larger than others in terms of the hose size, and is lightweight, able to remain outside without being damaged, and kink-free.
Metal Garden Hose is another similar, flexible design. While this one is crafted from metal and not the soft material of the Flexzilla hose, it is a durable option that has been run over by cars, dragged across sharp rocks, and more. All of these durability tests have proven that it will not change in water pressure no matter abuse is done to it.
