To begin using your Fit Mate, fill it with the essential items you'll need for your indoor or outdoor workout. Each organizer contains a large compartment that'll be big enough for almost any water bottle and a smaller compartment that's been designed to hold even a large smartphone. On the outside of each organizer, there's also a hook that you can hang your keys or a small towel from. Of course, you can store anything else you want to in the organizer, such as hair elastics or a pair of glasses, as long as it'll fit.
Next, if there's something in your environment that you can hang your organizer from, like a fence with holes or an exercise machine at the gym, go ahead and do so. However, if there's no such thing available, you'll be able to stick the organizer to any smooth surface by using the large suction cup that's attached to each one. Due to its size, this suction cup is strong enough to withstand the weight of a few small items, such as the ones mentioned in the previous step, without losing its grip.
Whenever you need to, you can unhook your Fit Mate from whatever you've hooked it to or pull its suction cup away from any surface. Then you can carry the athletic organizer around by its hook so you'll always have your essential items near you as you exercise. Even when filled to the brim, this device will only weigh a few pounds, so the majority of users will never struggle to carry it.
Each of these organizers is black, so it'll match a great deal of exercise equipment and won't be incredibly noticeable when you use it in a public gym. If it were a brighter color such as purple or hot pink, a potential thief might take notice of it and grab something from inside if you happened to avert your eyes. If you decide it looks too boring, though, decorating it with some stickers or decals is an option.
The plastic used to construct each Fit Mate is durable and can withstand impacts, so if something happens to hit yours, such as a ball or a rock, it likely won't end up damaged. The suction cup attached to each one is strong, too, so it may not even budge if the organizer is hit.
Most gyms won't let you bring a bag out onto the floor, which means that without this organizer, you'll have to store essential items on the floor or on top of gym benches or equipment. Gym floors, benches, mats, and machines tend to be covered with germs, even if each user gives them a quick wipe-down, so those germs may end up on your stuff. Fortunately, if you use a Fit Mate to store items instead, that'll keep them away from potentially germy areas and thereby help prevent them from transferring germs to your body.
Keeping all of your essential items in a Fit Mate will also help prevent them from getting lost, since they'll all be in the same place, instead of being scattered in different locations around you. With this organizer, it'll be much harder to grab your towel and water bottle but leave your phone behind, or vice versa. Moreover, your items will be less likely to get damaged while sitting in this organizer than they would be if they were on the floor or ground.
Besides being useful at the gym or at an outdoor recreational center, these organizers can also be useful at home. Each one will stick to glass (including mirrors), so you may want to use one for cleaning supplies while you wash windows or to store your toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom. Additionally, they're a great place to store small utensils in your kitchen, and you'll be able to stick one to your fridge or to another appliance of your choice.
The Fit Mate doesn't contain a cover, so it won't protect your items from water damage if you leave it out in the rain. The sides of each one are only a few inches high, so if you have a tall water bottle or phone, at least half of each object will be exposed to water while it's raining. If you've got anything hanging from the outer hook, that'll also get wet in the rain. Therefore, you may want to use another container to carry essential objects in wet environments, since this one won't offer you much in the way of protection.
The suction cup attached to each organizer will be strong and powerful at the beginning of its life, but over time, it may lose its strength and fall off things. After a few years of using your Fit Mate, you may find that it no longer works and sends the organizer clattering to the ground while it's full of potentially breakable items. At that point, you'll need to search for something to hang its hook from each time you use it or retire it altogether.
It might be tempting to put a small dumbbell or two inside this organizer if they'll fit, but the organizer isn't meant for anything as heavy as a dumbbell. If you were to put one inside, the plastic base could crack due to having to support an overly heavy load.
The main point of using one of these organizers is to keep your stuff off the ground, so if you're working out indoors or out, don't place your Fit Mate on the floor or ground. You or someone else could accidentally kick it over and cause your items to fall out, or, even worse, someone else could trip over it and get injured.
When you're using your Fit Mate to store and carry items anywhere, it's best to evenly disperse your load, especially if you're going to hang it by using its suction cup. If you were to put something heavy in one compartment with nothing in the other and stick it up somewhere, the chances that it could tip over would increase. Put simply, if you've got something in one compartment, it's best to store something else in the other one, even if the second object's not as heavy.
