Dyna Trap is a device that looks like an attractive night light, but it actually traps flies and other common flying insects that you might find around the house. Once you've added one of these to any room, you can keep flies away from your food, your family, and your pets without using toxic chemicals. One of these devices can also be used in a business setting. When obtaining each one, you'll have a choice as to whether you want it to be black or white.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Plug Into Outlet

To get started with your fly-trapping device, plug it into any standard electrical outlet. You can either plug it into the bottom hole or plug it into the top hole in order to leave the bottom one free.

  2. Enjoy Fly-Free Area

After you've plugged in your device, it'll immediately begin trapping flying insects, allowing you to enjoy a fly-free area. The device provides 600 square feet of coverage, so if you live in a small apartment, one device may eliminate all the flying pests throughout your entire dwelling.

  3. Replace Glue Card

Once a few days have passed, you'll need to unplug your device, open it up and see how many flies have collected on its inner glue card. If the card is full, it'll be time to replace it with one of the two included replacement cards. On the other hand, if it doesn't appear to be full yet, you can insert the same card back into your device.

How It Works

Each Dyna Trap contains a special UV light that will emit a warm glow during the day or night. It has been engineered to attract flying insects, due to the fact that it emits light at a certain wavelength. The flying insects will be naturally tempted to fly towards the light of the trapper, where they'll end up caught on the sticky glue card inside. Neither the glue card nor any other part of the device contains toxic chemicals or pesticides that people or pets could breathe in, and each device's UV bulb will last for about four months.

  • Black or White

This fly trapper comes in a shade of either black or white, so you can choose which shade looks best with the rest of your decor. Regardless of which shade you choose, the trapper will look like a night light when it's plugged into your wall.

  • Traps Various Insects

Aside from trapping ordinary houseflies, each Dyna Trap tool will also trap other common flying insects found around a home or business, such as mosquitos and gnats.

  • Portable

As each one is just slightly bigger than a standard night light, you'll be able to move your Dyna Trap(s) around your home or workplace whenever you choose. All you'll need to do is unplug each from its original electrical outlet and slide it into another one in its new location. If you've got one or two traps and many rooms, you can make sure you move one trap to the room that attracts the most flies or the room you spend the most time in.

  • Generous Coverage

As mentioned, each Dyna Trap will trap flies throughout an area of 600 square feet. While one trap will likely be able to trap all the flying pests found in a small apartment or office, you'll have the option of using more than one trap in a larger building. Even in a large building, you shouldn't need to plug in more than one trap per room.

  • Quiet

This device will make little to no noise at any time, so it won't disturb you as you sleep, or while you're trying to work or relax.

Positive Points

  • Keeps Home, Business Safe

Many people know that flies and other flying insects can carry harmful bacteria that may make people sick and that they can also contaminate food they come in contact with. Therefore, using a Dyna Trap to get rid of flies and various other insects will automatically make your home or business safer, especially in areas in which food is often prepared or consumed. If customers or clients often come and visit you at your workplace, your workplace will automatically become safer (and more pleasant) for them, too.

  • Ideal for Travel

Due to the portable nature of each of these trapping tools, they're an ideal thing to take with you on a trip. As long as there's an electrical outlet available, you'll be able to plug yours in at a hotel, at a cottage or even in your RV. That means you'll be able to enjoy your vacation without bugs crawling all over your things and perhaps making noise, depending on the type of bug that's shown up.

  • Deluxe Versions Available

Besides the standard version of the Dyna Trap, there are also deluxe versions available. One deluxe version comes with a standard electrical outlet on one side, while the other comes with one of these plus a USB outlet. With either of these deluxe options, you'll be able to plug more things in than you'd normally be able to, just by virtue of having a fly-trapping device.

Negative Points

  • Won't Work On All Bugs

While the Dyna Trap will trap virtually all small flying insects, it won't work on ants, nor will it trap larger flying insects such as bees and hornets. If you've got a lot of these hanging around your home or business, you'll need to find some other way of getting rid of them.

  • Must Kill Flies

If you're the kind of person who doesn't like to kill any living thing, using this device probably won't make you very happy. It would be helpful if there were a version of this trap available that would just trap bugs without killing them, so you could simply collect them up and drop them outside—alive.

  • Bulb Will Burn Out

It's stated that the UV bulb inside each trap will burn out after 3000 hours, or about four months. However, while replacement glue cards are available, it appears as if replacement UV bulbs are not. Consequently, when your bulb runs out, you may need to get an entirely new trapper.

  • Light Could Be Annoying

The light coming from this device probably won't annoy you at night and may come in handy when you need to move around your home, but it might become annoying in the daytime. Unfortunately, there's no way to keep using the device properly without the light on, as without it, the device won't be able to attract flies.

Critical Advice

Each Dyna Trap is completely non-toxic, so you won't need to place yours somewhere far away from pets and young children. If you have one of the deluxe versions, however, make sure that the extra electrical outlet is covered up at all times, if you often have animals or young children in your home or business.
