Dump Dinners is a recipe cookbook that is designed for people that do not want to spend much time on thinking about cooking. For the busy cook, these recipes allow you to just dump in the recipes and throw the pan or pot in the oven for a quick meal. Many meals are ready in as little as fifteen minutes and do not require much preparation. Even the beef in the recipes do not require pre-browning and can be placed in with all the rest of the ingredients. This makes for a fool proof way of making dinners quickly and efficiently.
Making elaborate dinners after coming home from a long day’s work is not most people’s idea of winding down. On the other hand, eating out or opting for frozen meals all the time is also not healthy. Dump Dinners was created to eliminate this dilemma, by making it easy to make homemade meals without the hassle. Instead of slaving over a slow cooker or stove top meal for hours, simply dump all your needed ingredients into a pan and bake your dinner. Your food will be ready in record time and will taste as though you spent hours preparing and making it.
The cost of Dump Dinners is $10.00 plus $6.99 shipping. The special TV offer allows a free gift which you will receive by paying the extra shipping fee of $6.99 for a total price of $23.98. This price was obtained from the As Seen on TV commercial page found at buydumpdinners.com; however, the company has since ceased selling Dump Dinners and has taken down the website. Dump Dinners may still be found for sale on Amazon or Ebay.
This cookbook includes 250 homemade recipes that are all easy to make and require minimal to no preparation. They include lasagnas, pot roast, casseroles, pan pizzas, stews and much more. The variety ensures that you are never bored with your dinner menu, but still do not have to spend extra time making something new.
Along with getting a Dump Dinner cookbook, you also get a Dump Cakes cookbook. This book helps you make effortless cakes that taste delicious and look elaborate. They have a homemade taste and look, while maintaining the promise of being easy to make. From scratch, you can make desserts that taste as though they took hours to prepare and bake.
All of the recipes in both cookbooks were created by Cathy Mitchell, who is a well known TV chef and author. Straight from Cathy’s kitchen, you are able to create your own homemade foods that are both delicious and a snap to make. Cathy has includes only the recipes which allow you to dump your ingredients into a pan and cook. The point of her cookbooks is to make homemade meals without having to slave away in the kitchen for hours.
While one cookbook caters to dinners that can be made in a snap, the other focuses on dessert. This allows you to make two course meals every night if desired. Bake a cake or pie to go along with your homemade dinner in record time, without losing any flavor.
Many of these recipes require ingredients that are not considerate of weight conscious eaters. They require cheeses, meats and other ingredients that may be heavy in fat. While you can exclude some of these choices from the entire dish, the entrée will taste differently and might not be what you expected. Substitute ingredients might also alter the overall flavor of each dish. In essence, this cookbook does not cater to the health conscious.
Those that cannot eat meat, fish, or dairy will not find many recipes in this cookbook that will cater to their needs. Most of the homemade recipes listed in Dump Dinners require the use of ingredients that are considered off limits for vegetarian or vegan eaters. Thus, for eaters with strict limitations – this cookbook will not be useful.

I found both of these at my local Wal Mart so there was no shipping or anyone on the phone authorizing more than I would have wanted on my credit card. I like the dump cake book better than the dump dinner one. I can't eat dairy, so much of the dinners book wasn't for me. My favorite recipe in the cake book was Spicy Pumpkin Pie Cake. I've made that 5 or 6 times and other liked it too!
