How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Fold Out Tent

When you want to use one of these tents, you'll need to fold it out from a flat position first.

  2. Attach to Bed

After your tent is folded out, you can then attach it to your bed by using the included hooks. If you need more specific directions as to how to do this, consult your instruction manual. Be sure that the tent is as securely attached as possible, or else it could fall down on you later.

  3. Crawl Into Tent and Relax

Once your tent is attached to your bed, it should look like a roomy fabric cave for you to crawl into. If it looks flat or u-shaped instead, you may have attached it upside down. After you determine that it's set up correctly, you'll be able to read, rest and sleep underneath it in peace.

  4. Fold up When Done

When you're done with your tent and want to put it away, undo the hooks you secured during the setup process and fold up your tent again. Following that, it'll be flat enough for you to store anywhere, such as under your bed or in your closet.

Features

  • Six Themes Available

If you decide to get one of these tents, you'll be able to choose among six themes, including Space Explorer, Underwater World, Frozen Fantasy, Magical Mermaid, Unicorn, and Superhero. You might choose one based on your child's interests, but all the themes have different color schemes, so if a child's equally interested in them all, you can choose based on color.

  • Glow in the Dark

Regardless of which tent theme you choose, your tent will be decorated with glow-in-the-dark stars. Moreover, if you detach the included reading light and shine it on the stars, the stars will glow almost two times brighter than they normally do.

  • Reading Light Included

As mentioned, a small light is included with each tent. This can either be attached to the top of the tent and used as a reading light or detached and used as a flashlight.

  • Durable Material

The Dream Tents Glow tents are made of high-quality, durable fabric, so any tent in your possession may last you for years, even if your child uses it almost every day.

  • Portable

Due to the fact that each tent will fold flat, you'll be able to transport each one from place to place without it taking up much space. Your child may want to bring theirs to the cottage, to a friend or relative's house, or to a hotel, so they'll feel secure instead of homesick. Even if you're traveling on foot, each tent won't be too heavy for most people to carry.

Positive Points

  • Promote Creativity

Any of the six themes that decorate each individual tent will encourage your child to be creative, as they'll be able to slip inside their tent and pretend they're in a fantasy world. They may even choose to write stories or draw pictures of the new world they've discovered under the sea, up in space or wherever else.

  • Provide Sense of Privacy

If a child has to share a room, setting up one of these Dream Tents will give them a sense of privacy when they want to read, do homework, play quietly or sleep. Their roommate may still be in the room, but the child using the tent won't be able to see them, so they'll feel as if they're alone.

  • Help Relieve Fear of Dark

Using one of these tents will also help relieve a child's fear of the dark, as the glow-in-the-dark stars on each tent will give them just enough light to stop them from feeling super-scared. However, the stars on each tent aren't bright enough to keep the majority of children up at night. Therefore, with one of these tents, your child will likely sleep peacefully instead of running into your room due to fear or insomnia.

Negative Points

  • Not for Camping

While these tents are a fun thing to use at home or in some other indoor location, they aren't a practical choice for camping trips. Not only do they not close fully, they're also not large enough to cover the entire body of most children. Plus, if you were on a camping trip, you probably wouldn't have a twin bed on hand to help hold one of them up.

  • Don't Work With Large Beds

Dream Tents will attach to any twin bed, a size of bed that kids commonly use, but some kids do have larger beds, such as those in double, queen or king sizes. Unfortunately, these tents won't attach properly to those larger beds, so a child who sleeps in a larger bed probably won't be able to set up a tent.

  • Not Machine Washable

It's not stated that these tents are safe to put through the washing machine, so you'll likely have to wipe yours clean if it happens to get dirty.

Save Time

If you don't have one of these tents on hand, your child may want to spend up to hours constructing a blanket fort to get into, only to have it fall down on their head. With one of these forts, aside from the original construction time, you may spend many minutes re-constructing it, too. On the other hand, with Dream Tents Glow tents, it'll only take you a few minutes at most to erect one, and if it's attached properly to a bed, it'll be unlikely to fall down. You'll also be able to take it down and store it quickly, while you'd spend more time folding up and storing multiple blankets used to construct a blanket fort.

Save Money

Those families who don't have the financial resources to buy real camping tents and take the family on a trip could give their children a camping experience at home with these tents. This experience could take place indoors or out in the backyard for just a few hours, and it could include traditional camping activities like sing-alongs and cooking s'mores at almost no cost.

Critical Advice

Your cat or dog may enjoy crawling inside one of these tents, but if they're in there with you, watch them closely. Otherwise, they may scratch the walls of the tent and put holes in it. While this wouldn't make the tent any less fun to use, it would make it look far less attractive.
