How It Works

The Disk Lights work by accumulating light through a tiny solar panel over each of these devices and storing that energy in storage cells. Thanks to the light conversion technology solar power gets converted to electricity, and the ultra-bright LEDs disperse light over a large area. The lights automatically turn on when it gets dark, giving you up to ten hours of light, and then turn off in the morning. You can also switch them on / off manually if needed.

  • Wireless Operation

The Disk Lights have no wires attached, and you don’t have to insert any batteries. These innovative lighting fixtures recharge themselves on a daily basis, requiring very little maintenance. You don’t have to pay a qualified electrician to install these lights around your garden or try to do the wiring on your own. These lights are extremely user-friendly and are easy to install.

  • 10 Hours of Light

The Disk Lights can deliver up to ten hours of light continuously. The solar power that has been stored in daytime is used by these lighting fixtures to shine through the night.

  • Smart Sensors

With the smart sensors, the Disk Lights turn on when it gets dark and turns off with the arrival of daylight.

  • Reliable Housing

With heavy-duty stainless steel housing to withstand adverse weather, the Disk Lights are resistant to rain, frost or snow. You can leave them outside in any season without worrying about the lights getting broken or cracked.

  • No Harm From Lawnmowers

Sturdy in construction and durable, these lights can be run over by a lawnmower or a bicycle without getting damaged. The Disk Lights have been specially designed for outdoor lighting, so there are no negative effects when being overrun by a light two-wheeler.

  • Can be Mounted on Hard Surface

Not only you can stake the Disk Lights on the ground, but also fix them with the hook-and-loop strips on any surface, including the vertical ones. Place them on the porch, along with the driveway or over the entrance door.

  • Can Scare Away Intruders

It can be rather dangerous to walk around a garden, front yard or backyard when it’s dark, especially if you live in an area where trespassers are not uncommon. With the ultra-bright LEDs, the Disk Lights will keep you safe, enabling you to see if anything suspicious occurs. The lighting fixtures will also allow you to avoid obstacles when walking in the garden or on the patio.

  • Lights up Parties

If you arrange an event in your garden, front yard or on the pool deck, having proper lighting is a must. Your guest won’t appreciate spending time outdoors if it’s pitch dark. By carefully placing the lights, you’ll be able to light up a large area for a perfect party,.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Stake the Lights on the Ground

First of all, in order to start using the Disk Lights, you’ll need to place them on the ground. The whole process of installation will take you just a few minutes. The lights have short stakes attached to them, and all you have to do is push them into the soil deep enough.

  2. Let Them Charge

After your lights have been installed, you need to wait for them to charge. They will accumulate solar power during the day and automatically turn on at night. If you installed them in the dark, you’ll have to wait until the morning for them to charge, and then enjoy their bright light after the sunset.

  3. Enjoy the Well Lit Backyard

Once the lights are on, you’ll enjoy spending time outdoors in the evenings. Feel free to play badminton with your kids, walk your dog or listen to the sounds of nature.

  • Efficiency Depends on Location

To a great extent, the efficiency of these lighting fixtures will depend on the way you place them. Just like all solar powered LEDs, it requires particular placement in order to get charged. Fixing these lights in a shady area that doesn’t get enough sunshine during the day might not be a good idea.

  • Require Sunny Weather

The efficiency of the storage cells that convert solar power to electricity may vary depending on weather conditions. On a gloomy day, the lights may not charge enough to last through the night.

  • Not Available in Stores

You won’t find the product in local stores, and the only way to purchase it is to order it online. If you're from CA, NJ, NV or NY, sales tax will be applied to your order.

Save Money

Since these lights run on solar-powered batteries, you don’t have to spend money on electricity. There is no need to connect them to a power source. With these lighting fixtures, you will enjoy the benefits of a well-lit patio, backyard or garden for free.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Make Sure There is Sunlight

These lighting devices work best when they’re placed under direct sunlight for extended periods of time. The fixtures store the most energy in a few hours after the afternoon. Try to install the disks in places that receive the most sunlight during this period. This will enhance the efficiency of the lights at night.

  2. Double Offer

The manufacturer offers a set of four lights backed up by a 30-day money back guarantee. If you pay a small additional fee, you’ll get a bonus set of four solar-powered lights. With eight lights at your disposal, there are more options to arrange proper lighting and decorate your backyard or garden. Alternatively, you can give them to a close friend or relative who will enjoy having them outside their house.

  1. Spotlights

Spotlights are extremely convenient and many homeowners prefer to install these in order to light their houses and the outside area at night. However, standard spotlights usually require electricity to run, and that’s an undeniable disadvantage compared to solar-powered wireless lights.

  2. Solar Lamppost

Solar lampposts also become increasingly popular among homeowners who prefer to avoid using electricity for outdoor lighting. However, lampposts lack mobility, and you won’t be able to change its location if needed.

Terrible Product

This product is awful and I am shocked the B&H would put their name on this product. The discs are not of any quality at all and the light they emit are minimal. Shame on me for believing the hype and buying these.

Shame on Bell & Howell for allowing their name to be used on a product of such poor quality. We live in Arizona. We have sunlight all day, every day. The lights worked for approximately 3 months and then gradually got dimmer and dimmer and only lit up for about 2-3 hours before failing completely. Very disappointed in this product and Bell & Howell.

Not What I Expected

These lights are not very bright + at night the center of them just just looks like 4 white circles in the center of the light & do not look like one solid light in the circle. I had thought it would project a bit more light than they do & in the ads I’ve seen on tv + on the internet the lights coming from these looks like 1 solid lite not four small individual lights.

Pretty but They Don't Last

Bought 8 of these lights a few months ago, and initially really liked them and ordered 8 more. The light intensity was fine for my purposes, although they don't stay lit for more than 2-3 hours, not all night as advertised. However, within the past week, the surfaces have spontaneously cracked on 3 of the original group, and they no longer light up. I live in south FL, and we had very hot weather in Sept and Oct, so perhaps they don' t tolerate extended periods of hot FL sun. Very disappointing because they had looked pretty and seemed like a good choice for a while.

They only light the 4 small dots. Not as much light as shown on commercial. Guess you get what you pay for!

Disk Light Operation of Super Bright 8 LED

Purchased and installed 8 Disk Lights of the type that contained 8 LEDs each. On the first night at first look they all seemed to function correctly. When I checked on the second night, they were all off. I pushed the on/off button and was able to turn them on one at a time. However after about 15 seconds they all shut off. In some cases it required a few pushes of the button to turn a particular one on, but it would turn off again after a few seconds. Any thoughts?

Big Disappointment. Waste of Money.

I spent about $145 on DiskLights. What a big disappointment. What a major waste of money. As others have written, they do not emit anywhere near the amount of light as shown on TV. I am not returning the lights because in essence, they do work – though laughingly. All I can really do now is hope I can dissuade others from making the same mistake I did. To start things off, the company took quite a while sending the lights to me. That delay was aggravating enough. Then the lights I received from Bell & Howell didn’t even look like the ones advertised on TV. The TV lights feature four light emitting holes connected to a center device that appears to shoot a powerful super Nova beam into the air. The ones I bought have eight such holes that produce very tiny weak beams. But the most disappointing aspect of my purchase is that after baking all day in the bright Las Vegas sun my DiskLights barely emit beams for about six hours before flickering out just after midnight or sometimes sooner. Not once have any of the lights I purchased emitted beams until dawn as advertised. Quite frankly one would be better off buying the $1 solar light device sticks sold in the garden section at WalMart. (I installed such lights at my old property and they lasted from dusk to dawn and emitted a fairly bright light until going out just a few minutes before dawn. I passed on those lights to buy DiskLights. Bad Decision. I highly recommend that people pass on DiskLights or I can pretty much guarantee that those folks will be left in the dark – literally – as we have been.

Poor Product None Work

Charged for 2 days. None work. Position has daylight area. Can't tell if switch is on or off. No way to move it. Poor product. Don' buy product. Better go to dollar store and buy a battery candle for a dollar. They work better. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money.

Short Light Span

Love these lights as they are pretty when they are on. But, they only last for 2 hours - not 10 hours as the ad states. I live in Dallas, TX, so I know they get plenty of sunlight and the batteries are good. A bit of false advertising - not fair to customers.
