Daily Duster

Rate this product

The Daily Duster is a duster that has soft bristles and contains a built-in vacuum. It can be used almost anywhere due to the fact that it's cordless and appears to be only about the same size as a curling iron. As you move the duster along any surface in your home, car or elsewhere, the device's electrostatic bristles should cling to any dust while the built-in vacuum sucks it up. The inner tube will collect any dust that's sucked up and can be emptied into any trash bin.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Add Batteries

Before you can use your Daily Duster, you'll have to add batteries to it. While it's stated that the deluxe version of this duster contains a rechargeable battery and comes with a charging cable, the type of batteries needed for the standard version isn't specified. Therefore, you'll need to consult your instruction manual for that information, and you'll likely have to pick up a set of batteries on your own.

  2. Turn On Device

Once your duster has been loaded with batteries, you can then identify an area that you want to dust, such as a table or a railing. Following that, you'll just need to press the round green power button on the duster, and it'll be ready to go.

  3. Dust Effectively

Next, after you've turned your device's power button on, run it gently along the first surface you want to dust so that its bristles and vacuum can do their work. The vacuum may suck up all the dust on a particular surface in one pass, but if it doesn't, pass the duster over the surface a few more times. When you're done dusting one surface, repeat this process with other surfaces of your choice.

  4. Turn Off Duster

Remember to press the green power button to turn off your duster when you're finished dusting, in order to conserve battery power.

Features

  • Blue and White

Each Daily Duster has a white handle and blue bristles, a combination of shades that many people will find attractive. Plus, since dust tends to be gray or white, you'll be able to determine whether your duster is actually picking it up well by looking at its bristles.

  • 180 Degrees of Bristles

This duster has 180 degrees of bristles, and they're arranged in two partial circles instead of just being present on one side. That means you may be able to dust more than one side of a small object, such as a glass container or wooden box, without having to move your duster very much.

  • Lightweight

It's stated that the Daily Duster is a lightweight tool, although no particular weight is given, so most users should be able to carry it around their home or other areas without becoming fatigued. When you're relieved of the burden of having to carry around heavy tools, like a hand-held vacuum, you might even begin to enjoy cleaning!

  • No Electricity Required

You'll never need electricity to operate this duster, which means there'll be no electrical cord for you to drag along behind you as you dust your home, office or any location. If your car tends to get dirty, you may actually want to keep one of these completely cordless dusters in your glove compartment to pull out whenever you get a spare minute to eliminate dust.

  • Has Inner Holding Tube

To prevent you from just rubbing dust and dirt around on any surface, each of these dusters contains an inner holding tube that takes up space underneath the bristles. Any dust you eliminate from the surfaces you're cleaning will collect in there, and when you're done cleaning, you'll be able to twist off the duster's top and empty the inner tube. You can simply dump its contents into any wastebasket or alternative trash receptacle.

Positive Points

  • Non-Toxic Tool

Unlike some furniture polishes that are commonly used around the house, the Daily Duster contains no toxic elements or ingredients that might put you at risk if breathed in or unintentionally ingested. If you have kids or pets, you can also be assured that this tool won't expose them to any sort of toxicity.

  • Works On All Dust Types

Aside from ordinary fine particles of dust, this tool is expected to be able to clean up virtually all other types of household dust, such as pet dander and fur. It can also be expected to make short work of pollen particles that might make their way into your home or workplace from outdoors. Since you'll be able to clean up all these messy substances with just this little hand-held duster, you might not have to lug out a larger vacuum quite as often as you would otherwise.

  • Fits In Small Spaces

The Daily Duster is quite long and skinny, with a cylindrical shape, so it'll fit into small spaces such as gaps between furniture and the wall or the spaces within a set of blinds. If you've avoided cleaning areas like that in the past, due to having a bulkier duster, you'll be able to make any room cleaner than it used to be once you switch to this one.

  • Good For Kids To Use

If you're looking to introduce your school-aged children to cleaning, this tool is a good one to use for that task. Even if your child doesn't have great dexterity yet, they'll probably be able to get the hang of the simple dusting motion that's required. Moreover, even if they have less strength than an adult, they likely won't find the tool heavy. If your child often has trouble identifying the power button on tools, they may not have the same issue with this one since it's the only part of the tool that's bright green.

Critical Advice

Those people who often do hours of dusting per week, or have to dust in areas with little light, should seriously consider obtaining the deluxe version of the Daily Duster as opposed to the standard. The deluxe version has a built-in rechargeable battery and an LED light that may last you for years. To help you recharge the battery, an adapter that you can plug into your duster and the wall is also included with each one.

Negative Points

  • Bristles Aren't in Full Circle

While it's nice that there are 180 degrees of bristles affixed to each duster, each one might be even better if it contained a full circle (or 360 degrees) of bristles. The reason the bristles aren't laid out in a full circle is unclear, and it seems that the duster would be able to remove dust more quickly from anything if they were arranged like that.

Warnings

  • Don't Wait to Empty Tube

If you want your Daily Duster to work as effectively as possible, you must empty its inner tube after each use, regardless of whether you think you've picked up a lot of dust or not. You might be tempted to delay emptying it until later, but then it might get so full that it clogs up and causes your duster to stop picking up dust properly.
