Cozy Glow is a compact night light that emits a warm amber glow instead of the brilliant white light that might seem blinding when you get up at night. Hanging it anywhere you need it, such as your bedroom or bathroom, will be a quick process due to the peel-and-stick backing. It also runs on batteries, so you won't need to put it near an electrical outlet. This light won't turn on until its built-in sensor detects motion, and it won't turn on unless it's dark.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Peel Off Backing

Before you mount your Gozy Glow, you'll need to peel off the backing to reveal the sticky adhesive underneath. This adhesive will hold your light securely in place wherever you decide to mount it.

  2. Mount in Chosen Location

Next, mount your light in a place where you may need a bit of illumination at nighttime, such as the aforementioned bedroom or bathroom, or the hallway or kitchen. Make sure it's high enough on the wall that it won't just light your legs and feet, and that it's not crooked. If you have to adjust its position too many times, its adhesive may start to lose its stickiness.

  3. Walk by in Darkness

Once your light is mounted, you'll need to wait until it's dark and walk by it to see its built-in sensor do its work. After you do, it'll gradually turn on over a period of three seconds before reaching full illumination. When it's no longer dark, or if you're no longer moving around in front of the light, it'll automatically turn off to conserve battery power.

  • Soft Amber Glow

Each Cozy Glow light has a soft amber glow that won't disturb your eyes when you get up, or get in the way of your return to sleep after you go to bed. While 40-watt lightbulbs give off about 450 lumens of light, this night light will only give off 30 lumens of light. That'll be enough light for you to see clearly without bumping into things, but not enough to disrupt a peaceful state of rest and relaxation.

  • Battery Powered

These lights are battery powered as opposed to running via electricity, so when you're hanging yours, you won't be restricted to areas near available electrical outlets. Using the light on a regular basis also won't add to your electricity bill.

  • Compact

Every Cozy Glow night light has about the same diameter as a CD, and is smaller than a Frisbee, so they'll never take up a ton of space on any wall. If you want to transport one somewhere else, such as to the cottage, one won't take up a great deal of space in your suitcase, either.

  • Come in Sets of Two

All these lights come in sets of two, and you can get as many sets as you'd like. If you feel the need, you'll be able to add one of them to virtually any room in your home or cottage. If your company's OK with it, you might even want to hang one up near your desk or workstation at work.

Positive Points

  • No Tools Required

If you decide to install another type of night light, you may end up working with wires and screws, but with the Cozy Glow, you'll have to do nothing of the sort. You'll be able to mount it with just your hands, and the mounting process is so uncomplicated, a school-aged child may be able to do it.

  • Doesn't Cause Insomnia

Often, after being faced with bright light coming from a standard lamp in the home, people have trouble getting back to sleep, especially if they've gotten up and walked around. It's highly unlikely that you'll have trouble sleeping after seeing the soft light coming from your Cozy Glow, though, as it'll just provide the minimum level of illumination you'll need to move safely. If you have kids, you probably won't need to put a great deal of effort into getting them to go back to sleep, either.

  • Won't Stay on All Night

As stated, this light will only turn on in darkness, and it won't stay on all night, wasting its batteries. As soon as its built-in sensor detects that no one's moving around its immediate area any longer, it'll shut off until it senses someone moving in the dark again.

Negative Points

  • Batteries Aren't Included

Your Cozy Glow light(s) will require 4 AA batteries to run, but these aren't included with each light, so you'll need to take care of obtaining them and any necessary replacements on your own.

  • Not for Outdoor Use

Although you could take your chances and mount one of these lights outdoors, they're not specifically designed for outdoor use. They likely wouldn't be able to withstand harsh weather conditions, such as rain, snow, and hail, and may end up getting damaged or just becoming non-functional. That means you won't be able to use one of them to alert you to intruders on your porch or in your yard.

Save Time

You can install a Cozy Glow light almost anywhere in about five minutes, while it may take you a half hour or longer to wire a different type of light and mount it with screws. By taking advantage of the availability of these soft amber lights, you'll end up with more time to spend on other household chores or fun activities.
