The Comfy Panda Pillow is a pillow for the bed that's meant to be adjusted in three different ways so that users can customize it for their own sleeping comfort. It's been designed by a chiropractor, which implies that back and spine comfort was kept in mind throughout the design process. Each pillow consists of four memory foam layers (some of which can be removed or swapped), and a zip-up bamboo cover that's made to be removed and cleaned in a washing machine.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Adjust Height and Firmness

When you receive your Comfy Panda Pillow, you'll notice that it's made up of four separate layers. You can leave all four layers together if you want a taller pillow, but for a shorter pillow, you'll have the option of removing one of them. The one you remove will depend on your firmness preferences, as one of the middle layers is especially soft and the other one is quite firm. Even if you don't want to remove any layers, you can swap the two middle layers to change your pillow's firmness slightly.

  2. Select Contour

Once you've customized your pillow when it comes to height and firmness, and have put the bamboo cover on, you'll be able to select your preferred contour. If you position your pillow one way, it'll offer you a fairly steep slope to put your head on, while turning the pillow 180 degrees will give you a slope that's less steep. Keep in mind that if you don't like the pillow in a particular position, this can easily be changed, as it'll only take you a second or two to flip it around.

  3. Lie Down on Pillow

When your pillow is set up, lie your head down on it while putting your body in its usual sleeping position, and see how it feels. If it doesn't feel that comfortable, make adjustments to the settings you customized as you see fit. Your final settings should position your back, head, shoulders, and neck in a way that doesn't cause you pain or any sort of discomfort. If you're already feeling uncomfortable after lying down, you'll need to change something, as your discomfort will likely worsen as you sleep.

Features

  • Will Suit Various Ages, Genders

This type of pillow is suitable for use by adult men and women of all ages, and any child who's big enough to sleep in a bed instead of a crib can use one, too. Each pillow has about the same width as a standard pillow, so if you sleep in a double bed beside a partner, you'll both be able to use them without crowding each other out. Likewise, each pillow is compact enough to fit comfortably into a twin bed with a solo sleeper.

  • Stay-Cool Cover

A common complaint people have about their pillows is that they get too hot while they sleep, requiring them to wake up and flip them over to stay comfortable. That won't be the case with the Comfy Panda Pillow, though, as the zip-up bamboo cover that comes with each one will stay cool throughout the night. When you're not using the pillow, you can also remove the cover and wash it in your washing machine (or hand-wash it with soap and water, if you don't have a machine).

  • For Back and Side Sleepers

With this pillow, back and side sleepers will be able to find some level of customization that puts their head, neck, back, and shoulders into an ideal position instead of throwing them out of alignment. People who sleep primarily on their stomachs may not find it quite as comfortable to use, but if you're a stomach sleeper, you may find comfort by resting your head in the middle.

Positive Points

  • Improves Sleep Quality

If you constantly wake up due to bodily discomfort, or the fact that your pillow is getting too hot and sweaty, it follows that you may not get a full night of restful sleep. Then you might have to drag yourself through your activities the next day, with little energy. Fortunately, the Comfy Panda Pillow will assist you with achieving restful sleep, since it'll help you get into a comfortable position before you shut your eyes, and its exterior will stay cool. Therefore, you'll likely have much more energy than you otherwise would upon waking up.

  • Aids With Breathing Problems

Along with promoting bodily comfort so you don't wake up tired and in pain, this pillow is also capable of aiding users with breathing difficulties. If you have trouble breathing due to asthma, allergies or some other physical issue, position the pillow so that the high slope is at the top before you lie down on it. This will elevate your head, which should allow you to get more air through your airways than you'd be able to while sleeping on a flatter pillow.

  • Travel-Friendly

This type of pillow isn't so big that it won't fit comfortably into your vehicle when you're going on a road trip away from home. In fact, it may be useful as a backrest or seat cushion as you're driving, or you might want to lend it to a child for a nap if they're traveling with you. Once you get to your final destination, the pillow will enable you to keep up with the restful sleep patterns you've hopefully been experiencing with it at home.

Negative Points

  • Could be Hard to Stack

If you like to sleep on a stack of pillows instead of just one, you might find it hard to fit your Comfy Panda Pillow into a stack. Putting it at the bottom of a stack isn't a good idea, as all the benefits it could provide your head, neck, back, and shoulders wouldn't be able to reach you through the other pillows. Using it at the top of a stack might be a better idea, but that would still interfere with its positioning and contoured slope.

  • May Not Fit in Standard Case

The bamboo cover that comes with each Comfy Panda Pillow is quite attractive, but if you prefer your pillows to be in colored cases instead of white ones, you may have a problem. Even though each of these pillows is about the same size as a standard pillow, they're all a slightly different shape in comparison to those, so they may not fit properly into standard colored cases. You may have to stick with the white case or attempt to custom-make your own colored pillowcase for this memory foam pillow.

Warnings

  • Don't Wash Pillow in Machine

It's perfectly fine to wash this pillow's cover whenever you feel you need to, although you should always remember to follow the fabric care instructions. However, the body of the pillow should never be washed in a machine, as this could actually ruin its material and make it useless.
