The Omega Cold Press 365 is a juicing system that's been designed to sit on the countertop for daily use. It's stated that it works by virtue of cold press compression technology that helps with nutrient retention in two ways: by limiting the juicing ingredients' contact with air, and also limiting the production of heat. By drinking juice that you've made with this appliance on a daily basis, it's suggested that you'll be able to improve your overall health and potentially lose some extra pounds.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Assemble Juicer

Before you start using this juicing device, you should assemble the whole thing and place it on a flat surface, such as a table or countertop. If you follow the specific instructions in your manual, putting the device together typically won't take more than a couple of minutes.

  2. Add Ingredients

After making sure that your juicer is plugged into electricity, it'll be time to start making juice by adding ingredients. Before you do so, make sure there's a medium to large-sized glass waiting underneath the spout of your device to catch the juice, too. To add your first piece of fruit (or a vegetable), pull the black stopper out of the top of your juicer and place a small piece of produce in the transparent cylindrical tube. For dual-ingredient juice, you can add a couple of small pieces of produce, but it's best not to add more than three.

  3. Make Juice

Next, use the stopper that you pulled out to push down on the piece of produce that you've put in the tube. As you do so, this will push the food into the horizontal tube, where a rotating blade will rapidly spin it around and break it up. This, in turn, will cause liquid juice to drip out of the juicer's spout and into the glass you've placed underneath it. Continue pushing with the stopper until you've got a full glass of juice, taking breaks if you need to when you're tired.

  4. Clean Device

You can repeat the second and third steps above to make more glasses of juice, but when you're done using your device for a while, it's best to unplug it until its next use. Following that, detach the two plastic tubes and dump any excess bits of fruit or vegetables out of them and into a compost or trash receptacle. Then you can either rinse the plastic tubes (and the black stopper) with water and put them back where they came from, or load those three pieces into the dishwasher for cleaning purposes.

  • Quiet

In comparison to other kitchen appliances, such as larger juicers and blenders, the Omega Cold Press 365 doesn't make a whole lot of potentially irritating noise. Therefore, you should be able to use this appliance while people are sleeping in other rooms, or while kids or pets are hanging around, without causing a disturbance.

  • Accommodates Many Ingredients

This device hasn't been designed to juice only oranges, only tomatoes, or any specific fruit or vegetable. Instead, it'll accommodate nearly any fruit or vegetable that you might want to include in your juice. As mentioned above, you can even make juice with more than one fruit or veggie at once for a unique flavor. The only caveat is that each piece of produce you load into the device must be fairly small, in order to fit in its tubes, so you might need to cut down larger pieces.

  • Fairly Compact

The Omega Cold Press 365 is a bit bigger than a standard blender, but since it'll only take up about a foot of space (horizontally or vertically) on a countertop, it's still fairly compact. It likely won't use up the counter space you may need for other appliances, such as your toaster oven or coffee maker, and it's small enough to be transported in a car.

  • Dishwasher Safe

The two plastic tubes and the black stopper that constitute part of your juicing device can be safely cleaned in the dishwasher, although they can also be rinsed. However, you must never load any other pieces of the device into the dishwasher, or wash them in your sink.

Positive Points

  • Promotes Health

Eating a diet that doesn't contain any fruits or vegetables really isn't healthy, and may also cause you to put on weight over time, especially if you're not very active. Fortunately, if you or the other members of your family don't like eating fruits and veggies on their own, this device will allow you to add them to a daily glass of juice instead. The juice may taste so good that you forget you're actually ingesting a boring piece of celery or an apple. It may even give you more energy so that you feel like exercising more often.

  • May Reduce Snacking

On a somewhat related note, if your body is craving essential nutrients such as vitamins and antioxidants, it may not realize this and may go for sugary or fatty foods instead. If you automatically take in vitamins and antioxidants by drinking juice from your Omega Cold Press 365, though, these cravings may be reduced or completely eliminated. By skipping your daily bag of potato chips or a handful of cookies, you' may notice a change in your weight and how you look in clothes, too.

  • Recipe Book Included

If you're new to juicing or you aren't sure what combinations of fruits and veggies might taste best together, the included full-color recipe book will be able to help you out. It'll tell you what ingredients to combine and how much of each ingredient to use to get the best-tasting, nutrient-filled juice possible. With each juicing device and recipe book, you'll also receive a separate machine that will help you make soft-serve frozen desserts from your choice of fruit. Like the juicer, this device has been made to sit on a countertop or table.

Negative Points

  • Could be Hard on Hands

Even though each of these devices contains a motor, you'll still have to do quite a bit of work with one or both hands when you push down on your ingredients with the black stopper. Depending on your strength level, you could find this mildly tiring or extremely tiring. If you're a person who ends up taking a lot of breaks due to sore hands, the juicing process could be a fairly long one for you. The effect on your hands will only intensify if you decide to make multiple glasses of juice instead of just one.

Save Money

Some people choose to buy a smoothie that includes fruit or veggies at a restaurant each day, but if you're one of those people, the Omega Cold Press 365 might help you break the habit. You'll still have to obtain fruits and veggies to do your juicing at home, but that will probably be easier on your wallet when you take a whole week or month's spending into account. Plus, you may get more nutrients from your own ingredients than you would from a restaurant's smoothies.
