Cobra Coil

The Cobra Coil is a flexible aluminum coil that will charge your phone and act as a phone stand at the same time. Even if your phone doesn't need charging, this tool will make a convenient stand so your hands will be free to do other things as you use the phone. This coil is durable, flexible and will rotate a full 360 degrees in either direction, so you'll be able to use it to set up your phone in virtually any position.

Total Cost Breakdown

The cost of Cobra Coil is $14.99 plus $7.99 shipping, for a total price of $22.98.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Plug Into Phone

First, you'll need to plug the larger, triangle-shaped end of this coil into your phone, inserting it in the slot in which you'd normally insert a charger.

  2. Arrange Coil

After you've plugged your coil into your phone, arrange the coil the way you want it by bending and flexing it in the desired directions. Then, you can place it on a flat surface with the phone resting on top. Alternatively, you can even coil it around an object if that's more convenient for you.

  3. Insert in Usb Port if Needed

If your phone needs to be charged, the end of your coil that isn't plugged into anything can be plugged into a USB port for charging purposes. However, you can continue to use your Cobra Coil as a stand without taking this step, if your phone has enough power.

  • Works With Almost All Phones

This coil will hold up virtually all popular phones, including iPhones, androids and flip phones. It'll also hold up iPods and tablets just as effectively.

  • Lightweight Yet Sturdy

This tool is lightweight enough to be carried comfortably in a purse, a backpack or even a large pocket, yet it's sturdy enough to refrain from falling over while supporting a tablet.

  • Durable

Each Cobra Coil is made from durable, high-quality aluminum, so once you start using it, you may not need to get another new charger for years. Even if you accidentally step on it with a heavy boot, it'll likely withstand the impact without getting damaged.

  • Silver

All of these coils are silver, which makes them look attractive in almost any room and also makes them easy to spot. Once your phone is attached to one of them, you probably won't misplace it as often as you would otherwise.

Positive Points

  • Good for Travel

The Cobra Coil is an ideal thing for you to bring along while you're travelling, regardless of what activities you'll be doing during your journey and at your destination. If you're carrying a backpack, you'll have the option of coiling the device around your backpack's strap, where it will rest securely even as you walk. When you're on a road trip, it'll rest anywhere near the driver's seat so you can keep your phone at eye level and both hands safely on the wheel at the same time.

  • Helps With Picture Taking

This device also makes a great picture tripod. Just attach your phone to it and adjust its height and angle in order to zero in on the subject of the photo you're currently taking.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Coil Around Arm

If you're someone who tends to lose your phone a lot, or you have a child who does, the Cobra Coil can actually be coiled around a user's arm. That way, it'll always be right there in front of that user. You may want to tell any child under your care to do this whenever possible if they're constantly searching for their phone, just as they may have strings attached to their winter mitts.

  2. Attach to Exercise Machine

Those users who work out on an exercise machine at the gym or at home can coil this phone holder right around the machine and raise it to eye level. This'll give you quick access to the music you listen to while working out, along with any app you use to keep track of your heart rate, calories burned, speed or some other important statistic.

  • Don't Coil Around Neck

Although it may seem like an easy thing to do, don't coil your Cobra Coil around your neck, especially if you're in bed using your phone or tablet. If you were to fall asleep and it were to accidentally tighten around you, you could choke.

  • Don't Use With Laptop

Even if you're able to somehow plug a laptop of any size into this coil, it hasn't been designed for use with laptops or netbooks and is unlikely to hold one up effectively. Anything heavier than a standard-sized tablet will likely cause the coil to fall over and possibly topple onto the ground or floor, potentially damaging your device in the process.

Save Money

If you have one of these coils, you likely won't need to replace your phone charger as often as you normally do, as the coils are so durable. Plus, each will function as a phone stand and a charger in one, so you won't need to get a separate phone stand to hold your phone up at eye level, either.

Save Time

Without a Cobra Coil, you'll probably have to continue stopping whatever you're doing with at least one hand in order to hold your phone when a text or email comes in. However, when you have one of these coils to hold your phone for you, you'll be able to use both hands to complete other tasks while simultaneously reading your emails and texts.

Cobra Coil is Junk.😝😒

The Cobra Coil is a piece of Junk. As soon as we got it we plugged it into the car charger. The prongs completely fell out of the coil at the base and the tips were very difficult to plug 🔌 in. A waste of $20. Taking it back. Do not waste your money.

Disasterous Results

I saw the commercial on TV late one night and had to have two Cobra Coils. I called the number and made my order. Two days later the coils arrived, I read the instructions and attempted to attach it to my girlfriend's LG phone. I say attempted. The phone did not want to fit. (Yes, I used the correct cobra head) After several tries, the phone and cord joined. Now juice flowed, AND the phone fell off the Cobra Coil charger. Worse, the charging port had been damaged and no longer operable for any purpose. The next day I visited Cricket and purchased a new LG cell phone. The second Cobra Coil is still hermetically sealed in the box it cam in.

Good luck. I think you should contact the site you bought it from, not an indipendently owned review site.
