How It Works
Both the Clear Bell camera and speaker use your WIFI network to stream a signal to one your electronics. When someone is at your door, the camera starts recording and the video feed will appear on your cellphone via your WIFI signal. A major benefit is that you can receive the video feed and use the audio feature using any smartphone, tablet, mobile device or computer.
Downfalls
- Need Wifi
In order for this system to work you need WIFI. If you are using dial up internet you cannot use Clear Bell.
- Power Outages
You will not receive video input or be able to use the speaker feature during a power outage. The doorbell feature which creates the sound will still work.
- Easiest With Cellphone
If you do not have a cellphone this product is less convenient to use. One of the great benefits of Clear Bell is the fact that you can receive a signal where ever you are and you can activate it no matter what. If you use your laptop with this product and happen to be at the restaurant and forget to lock your doors or a package is delivered you will not know about it. You will have no way of knowing about the package because you will not have your laptop with you to receive the alert.
