  • Small

This knife weighs just 3 ounces.

  • Instant

There are no batteries required, no plug in, no hot water, and absolutely no wait period. It instantly transfers the body heat to cut through and spread the butter without you having to wait for the knife to warm up ( as your bread cools down ). The knife literally works the moment you pick it up.

How It Works

This knife works on the foundation that heat will always flow toward whatever has the lower temperature. That said, this device relies upon a copper alloy tube which is the same type of tube you find inside of your computer processors. Just as with computers, in this knife the tube cools down drawing the heat away from your palm and transferring the heat to your butter. Once transferred, the butter becomes smoother and easier to spread.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Step One

    Toast your bread.

  2. Step Two

Place the knife in your hand, get the butter you want on the knife. Slide the blade downward, directly into cold butter from the fridge. Watch as it naturally carves and spreads without resistance.

  3. Step Three

Spread it on your toast. The serrated edges can shave fine curls of butter off easily to make spreading on your toast a simple endeavor. Eat and enjoy.

How it's Different from Competitors

There is nothing quite like this knife available on the market. Its main alternative, and in fact inspiration for its design, is traditional butter knives which are ineffective at spreading cold butter evenly across hot toast.

The current model on the market is a unique tool insofar as it is not produced by any of the grand as seen on tv manufacturers. In fact, this knife was the brainchild of a small group based in Seattle. This group used a Kickstarter campaign back in August of last year to raise the thousands needed to get this knife selling. With their success, the knife is readily available. Anyone interested in purchasing this knife can rest assured that it is high quality that has been accurately reviewed and tested for effectiveness. It took 50 trial designs alongside integration and involvement from other industries and user based studies to come up with this particular design. Support was so vast that within days of starting their funding campaign, the designers had reached their target sufficient to fund the tests and trials. The group behind it found that modern butter spreaders were inadequate so they wanted to create something similar to the electrical butter spreaders. They wanted something which did not use hot water or electricity to function. Children were the primary driver behind this innovative feature such that the knife needed to be safe for children to handle. For this reason, the finished product has no sharp edges.
