Brooklyn Brownie Copper

The Brooklyn brownie Copper is an incredible new way for you to mix, bake, and serve the perfect brownies each and every time. Nothing sticks to the bottom so all you have to do is put the battery inside the pan, mix it up, and place the metal dividing tray on top. After putting the whole thing in the oven. Each will come out perfectly cooked each time with the proper distribution of heat and that ideal gooey center.

Total Cost Breakdown

The cost of Brooklyn Brownie Copper is $19.99 plus $0.00 shipping. The special TV offer allows you to receive a second Brooklyn Brownie Copper at the discounted price of only $7.95 for a total price of $27.94.

Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page:

Brooklyn Brownie Copper Commercial

  • Non-stick

This pan combines nonstick, super strong surfaces with a self-slicing pan.

  • Mix Right in the Pan

You can mix your batter directly into the pan.

  • Cannot be Burned

The unit is not un-scorchable so you can prepare special dishes that require a torch and not worry about burning it.

  • Brownies Come Out With Ease

Each brownie will pop out easily one by one.

  • No Coating

You don't have to coat the pan with butter or oil because everything will slide right off.

  • Pfoa Free

The design is PFOA free which makes it safe to use on your food.

  • Dishwasher Safe

This unit is dishwasher safe so cleanup is a breeze.

Positive Points

  • Make Lots of Foods

You can make delicious appetizers, brownies, individual pizzas, small omelets, and much more. When you order you get a bonus recipe guide which gives you tips and tricks not only on how to make special brownies but on different types of food that you can make.

  • Serve Large Parties

Serving things at parties or for large families is significantly easier with such a design. Not only does everything not stick to the bottom but you have the option of making myriad foods that are a few bytes in size, the perfect handful. A big problem with party based appetizers is that healthier options are difficult to make in small sizes, pizzas for example have to be served in large slices. However, with this unit that problem is no more.

Negative Points

  • Not Healthier

It does claim that it's a healthier option because of the nonstick surface. However, the majority of the items that are contained in the cookbook provided or dessert based items, none of which offer any modicum of health benefits. The avoidance of butter or oil to coat the pan does not impact the health of these foods at all.

  • Mixing in the Pan

You can mix the batter directly in the pan. Advertisements show the individuals mixing with an electric mixer, a hand-held mixer, directly into the pan. However, be advised that they are not pushing very hard in doing so. The amount of contact between the mixtures in the pan is limited. Behind this, the idea is not to really grind against the pan but rather to mix the contents in the pan with as little direct contact as possible.

Save Time

Cooking with this unit does save you a great deal of time. While the amount of time spent slicing up foods like brownies or pizzas is limited, the overall time it takes you is reduced. To prepare your food, remove the food from the platter, let the food cool or even serve the food and then cleanup is reduced. By placing the entire unit in the dishwasher when you're done, any food sticking to the bottom even ever so slightly is removed without a great deal of effort on your part.

Save Money

Using this does save you money if you don't already have a pan or a serving tray. If you do not already have a serving tray, and even if you do, this is a great addition to any kitchen. Serving trays are very expensive but using the bottom of the set as your serving tray simplifies the act of presenting food to large groups of people.

How It Works

The Brooklyn brownie copper pan is one of the few on the market which has three separate pieces. So, you can not only place the dividing metal tray inside the batter before you cook, but you can also pull it out when you were done and take off the surrounding pan. Doing so leaves you with the perfect serving tray, something which is generally hard to come by. Most households will rely on something like a generic plate but this is difficult because of the square shape of the foods and the round shape of the plate. Having the perfect serving tray makes life much easier.

How it's Different from Competitors

Create flawless and uniformly sized brownies by placing the metal divider inside as the brownie mix is baking. There are many brownie trays that offer pre-sliced brownies as they are baking. Most of these are designed out of silicone so that they are easy to remove and nonstick. Silicone trays allow you to pop each square of brownie or whatever food you are making out without issue. What's more they make the perfect sizes each and every time. You can use it to make hot or cold designs because of the silicone nature and silicone is stain and odor resistant. Users never worry about the pan rusting. However, all of these options are great when it comes to cooking the brownies individually but not when it comes to serving the brownies. Versatile, you can use it to make baked treats, crispy cereal bars, or cornbread.

  • Baker's Edge

Baker's edge has a nonstick edge brownie pan. This adds to chewy edges to each of your brownies. Durable nonstick coating allows the cast aluminum construction to avoid any brownie batter sticking to the bottom. There is one continuous chamber so you're better spread evenly. With such a design you do not get individual brownies but instead you get four rows that are divided in a sort of maze figure.

  • Chicago Metallic

Chicago metallic has a slight solutions brownie pan which is 9" x 13". This design uses a metal divider which you placed directly into the batter in a similar fashion. There are two handles on either side of this metal divider so that you can look it out as necessary. Said design offers a three piece nonstick set. Having a nonstick set means that you do not need extra butter or oil to grease the pan, although the addition of such products does not drastically influence the health of brownies.

Each brownie can be customized with whatever topping you want including different candies or not so that each member of your family gets the treat they want. You will get 18 perfect brownies each time. With this there is no need to use a knife because everything comes out perfectly.

Piece of .

I am not an experienced baker and no way do I have the ability to adjust a recipe. My hubby gave me a kitchen aid mixer for my birthday and I went hog-wild and purchased this gadget and a bake-mix. ( Pecan-Cranberry from Trader Joe’s – for the curious… )
Well. That did not turn out so well. I had to scrape the gooey mess out of the partitions. After baking.
Cleaning up, some of the coating came off the divider.
Being a dud as a baker I naturally blamed myself and went online to look for a recipe…. Picked apple-cinnamon blondies with tons of raving reviews. Baking time 35 minutes. With the “divider “ everything still was a liquid mess that had randomly raised in some places. Added 10 minutes. Then another 10.
When the top was finally really brown I pulled the mess out and let it cool. And again I had to wrestle the gooey mess out. And even more of the coating came off this time.
We will throw this part away and not even I can tell the difference between a set of two baking pans I buy at Walmart for about 5$ and this piece of? Copper?
Money-back guarantee? – we bought it at Walmart, paid cash and the receipt is long gone.

Misleading Advertisement

I purchased this pan, not only for brownies, but for appetizers as shown on the commercial. It was advertised to come with a recipe booklet. It did not. After two calls to customer service, first I was told the recipe booklet was backordered, the second time I was told to download it from the Gotham Steel Store website as they were not being printed anymore. When I went to the site, it was not there either, just recipes for their other cookware. If it wasn't so much trouble, I would return the pans.

Surely, You Jest!

We saw the TV ads multiple times and decided to give it a try and included the additional order for our daughter -in-law. The order showed up in a timely manner, but was missing the recipe books.
Went to the "Customer Service" number and was told that the books were no longer being printed, but if we would go to the Gotham Steel web site, we'd find the book there for download.
The Gotham Steel site does, indeed, exist but the recipes they show are nothing to do with the Brooklyn Brownie Copper pans we purchased!
Printing up the recipes on the Gotham Steel site is a grand idea and would provide the closure ( and recipes ) which folks like us would prefer to obtain instead of having to listen to your operators, whom you are simply paying to LIE to the public! Wise Up and DO IT right! Shirley.

I Haven't Even Tried it yet but I am Not Happy

The recipe book was supposed to be with it. I have called 5 times and have received no satisfaction. Every time I call I get a different answer, excuse, etc. You can't speak to a supervisor. One person gave me the phone # of HQ. I called there, got a voicemail, left a message and never got a call back. The last call I made, I was told to go on the Gotham Steel website to download a recipe guide. They have recipe guides all right but nothing for the Brooklyn Brownie pan. I hope the pan works better than their customer service ( or should I say ) lack of customer service.

The cookbook was not included with the pan and each time I've called their customer service gave me the run around.

Never Again

Have waited almost a month and still haven't received the pans. Called customer service only to be told they are on back order and "should be shipped out by the end of next week". No email or other correspondence to notify customers of back order status. If these ever come, I know better than to ever order one of these "As seen on tv" products ever again.
