Brella Shield is a shield for your vehicle that looks like an oversized ordinary umbrella, but it isn't. It's been designed to cover the inside of your windshield, reflecting heat and UV rays away from your car so it won't get hot when you leave it and then return to get back in. Furthermore, it's stated that using a shield like this can cool the interior of your vehicle, regardless of whether it's a car, truck, or SUV, by up to 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
The cost of Brella Shield is $19.99 and the shipping is FREE!
Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page: brellashield.com
To get started with this shield, you'll need to open it over your windshield while you're sitting in your car. It'll open up and lock into place in the same way that a regular umbrella you'd use in the rain would. For optimum results, make sure that it's covering the entire windshield, from edge to edge.
Once your Brella Shield is covering your windshield, leave your vehicle and close and lock the doors in a manner that's normal for you.
When you return to your vehicle, open it up and close your shield as you would an ordinary umbrella. After it has collapsed, it'll be small enough for you to store in your glove compartment or the pocket of one of your front doors, provided that these areas aren't crowded with other things. Alternatively, you could store the umbrella under a seat or in a pocket on the back of one of your seats.
On hot days, heat and UV rays from the sun can enter your car right through your windshield, making the car so hot that's it's unpleasant to touch your steering wheel when you get in. Heat and UV rays that enter your car can also cause damage to the dashboard and other parts of the interior over the long term. If you cover your windshield with a Brella Shield, though, this will stop some of the heat and rays from getting in, and protect the car from a high interior temperature, along with interior damage. When you enter your car again after using this shield, its interior shouldn't be so hot that you feel sick, nor should the steering wheel feel like it's going to burn your hands.
Each Brella Shield is dark gray on the inside, which will aid with its cooling effect, and silver on the outside. This is a color combination that will nicely match the interior of many cars, as so many of them are prominently a shade of gray.
This shield is an appropriate size for the windshield of almost any vehicle, such as a compact car, a truck, or an SUV. As a result, if you have multiple vehicles, you'll be able to move the shield from vehicle to vehicle and use it within them all (as needed). Similarly, if you want to lend your shield to a friend or family member for their vehicle, they'll likely find it to be as effective as you do.
With each Brella Shield, you'll get a dark gray, leather-look carrying case. The case will protect the umbrella from getting very dusty or dirty as it sits in your car, and it's thin and lightweight enough that it won't add a lot of bulk to the umbrella.
If it's raining and you don't have a regular umbrella with you, you can use your vehicle's shield as a stand-in. This shield will comfortably fit two people underneath it in order to keep them out of the rain. Later, if the rain stops, you can simply fold up the umbrella and put it in the included carrying case, which can be carried under one arm.
There are few things that kids dislike more than getting in an incredibly hot, stuffy car, especially if they're already hot and sweaty from sports practice or playing in the park. Fortunately, if you add your Brella Shield to your car before you and your kids get out, they won't have to get into a car that's uncomfortably hot. The same goes for pets, such as dogs, that are fairly intolerant of high levels of heat.
If you're a mobile worker who drives from client to client or from site to site in order to do your job, you may find that you spend lots of time sitting in your car. Opening your Brella Shield will come in handy on hot days as you eat, read, text, or do whatever you choose to do when you get a break, as it'll help prevent you from overheating. If you're able to stay cool, you'll probably end up being more productive when you do return to your work tasks.
Since this shield will stop your vehicle from being exposed to a lot of interior sun damage, it'll likely cause the interior to look newer for longer than it otherwise would. Other people may admire the appearance of your vehicle, and you may not feel the need to go and search for a new one as quickly as other people with cars of the same age.
By covering your front windshield, the Brella Shield will block a great deal of heat and UV rays from coming in, but it won't be able to block out all of this. To block more heat and UV rays, you'd need to be able to cover all of your vehicle's windows, including the back and side windows. You'll need to find some other contraption if you want to cover those, as even additional Brella Shields won't fit properly over any window that's not the front windshield.
This type of vehicle shield will keep out heat and sun, but it won't keep out the cold, so if you live in an area with cold winters, it won't be useful for you then. In order to help stop ice from forming on your windshield and making your vehicle excessively freezing inside, you'll need to get an exterior blanket for your windshield instead.
If you don't use a device like the Brella Shield on a hot day, you may not be able to leave a parking lot or your driveway immediately after getting in your vehicle. Instead, you might have to run the air conditioner for up to 15 minutes until your steering wheel cools off enough for you to touch it. This, in turn, may result in you being late for your appointments or wasting minutes that could be spent on errands. On the other hand, if you do use this type of shield, your car should immediately be a comfortable temperature for driving whenever you re-enter it.

The handle/post on the Brella Shield rests on my center console when opened. After using it for the first time I noticed small ridges pressed into my Honda CRV console, below the gear shift. They match the handle/post at the bottom of the handle/post. The product is a piece of Junk! I will contact Brella Shield with the bill to repair the console on my 2022 Honda CRV. Don't buy anything from Publishers Clearing House. They are overpriced and charge for shipping but will not pay for shipping back.

"Brella Shield " here inaptly referred to as be. S!
The idea is that a reflective surface could be backed with a very thin and very dark surface. And this wouldn't re-radiate into the passenger compartment. Is ridiculous! You get momentary relief from direct sun and then the backing material starts acting like a solar stove -without all the UV radiation but with a bucket load of Infra Red radiation. Working just like a space heater. Very little illumination, but a wall of heat!
Does it lower the direct solar radiation? Yes. Does it lower the brightness from the windshield into the passenger compartment? Yes. But it doesn't stop the IR radiation from transferring thru the material and becoming a major Dark Object Radiator back into the cabin!
Very disappointing and not nearly as protective of cabin materials OR temperature relieving as the be. S. Commercial purports. My old foldup shield -though cumbersome and harder to erect - works 10 times better in its current state of having lived in 3 different cars and starting to get a little fried. The old thing just doggedly isolates the pass thru of heat from the Sun side to the cabin just beautifully.
Instead of about a 1mm fabric thickness on the be. S., my old thing is nearly 6mm thick and stays much cooler to the inside touch. Thus having nearly ON reradiation.
If the be. S. Doesn't fall apart as has been amply stated here in reviews. I may team them up together, but they be. S. Does appear to be a candidate for the costly gimmick of the year. IMHO.

Same here, less than three months old and the tip broke from umbrella shaft rendering the shade useless. No help from the help desk because it was out of warranty.
SAME HERE.PISSED OFF.
Brella Shield is a ripoff, it only lasted 2 months before it fell apart and was unfixable, that’s $20 in the trash.
Very disappointed.

I had a Brella Shield for about 4 months and the plastic tip broke apart. With the plastic broken, the metal shaft became loose rendering the product useless. Looks to me like the plastic becomes brittle from the heat and breaks. Other reviews support this. DON"T BUY. Get an old fashion sun shade.

Brella Shield assured me if the product didn't fit my windshield, I could return it. It didn't fit. When I called for return instructions, they gave me the address but said I would have to pay postage. The cheapest ground was $9.70. My original order total was $22.04, so I wound up losing almost half the purchase price.

I bought two of these for two cars and used both of them about 4-5 times. Until the end breaks off when you go to take it down. These things are Junk, and should be out of business.

Brella Shield does not work. The outside temp was 87, and inside my vehicle was 103 with the Brella Shield on. The only protection this shield provides is to keep the steering wheel from getting hot, the dash from cracking, and the driver's set from getting too hot. I've used the Brella Shield every day and I have found that the outside temperature is always cooler than the inside of my vehicle. I do not recommend this product because it does not work. It would be a waste of your money. You are better off getting a regular car shield.

I got two of these. I actually really liked it. Easy to use and easy to store. However, after two weeks the main metal rod snapped in half. They say they have 60 day money-back guarantee. I have called customer service but can never get an actual person, or get disconnected. I have even tried sending emails to their customer service. But never get a reply. My only next option is to reverse the charges on my credit card. With the current rising cost of living, this is a waste of money.

Glad I bought this at a store that has an As Seen on TV shelf. Not worth $19.99. I paid less. The shaft gets hot & it doesn't keep my car as cool as they say it does. There's no slot for the rearview mirror so that gets really hot. Back to the fold out one.

I purchased 3 of the Brella Shields. Each one worked 4 times and on the 5th time they each broke. Unable to fix. What a waste of money. Back to my roll up shade.

I paid via PayPal $ 33.34 to Brella Shield arctic air direct on 06/25/2022 for the three Brella Shields offers which included the bonus (bs19fee) additional Brella Shield. I received two Brella Shields only. I have tried 7 times for a total time of 2.7 hours to contact these people at 888-908-3259 over the past 3 days and have been placed on hold and then disconnected every time. My advice is do not pay these people for the additional 'Brella Shield; because you will not get it. Scammed!

The truck they use in pics must be tiny, in my full-size truck, the brella shade leaves probably 10”-15” on each side not covered. Quite disappointing.

Great idea, horrible follows through. I was given one as a gift. I think I opened and closed it a couple of times before the 1st part broke. Just a little piece of the framing, it still worked. Then an entire arm came off, then a 2nd and a 3rd. Finally, the entire thing fell apart. This was with maybe a dozen uses. It was great the 1st couple uses. Someone needs to make a higher quality product using the same idea.

Wish I had read the other comments. Does not really fit my car; my car was hotter inside than the outside temp; the gadget that allows you to open and close the device broke after just a few weeks and can't be fixed. Very poor item!
