Your device will sit on the speaker's flat top and will play for as long as you want, as long as its battery doesn't die.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Set Speaker On Flat Surface

To get started with your Boom Touch, place its base on any flat surface. You'll be able to tell the base from the top on each speaker since the base will be flatter while the top will have a raised surface.

  2. Choose Music and Device

Next, choose the device you want to use to play music and then start up your playlist (or any recording you want to listen to) as you normally would.

  3. Place Device On Speaker

Your final task will be to place your digital device on top of the speaker, where it will rest flat and will be unlikely to fall off. Once the device is sitting on top of the speaker, the music coming out of it will get louder and begin to fill the room. The volume of the music may be up to two times louder than it would be when played on the digital device alone.

How It Works

Each Boom Touch speaker does its job by virtue of magnetic field induction. That means that when a digital device touches the top of the speaker, the speaker immediately picks up on that device's audio signal, amplifying and isolating the sound coming from it. As a result, your speaker will deliver loud (but not ear-splitting) sound that you'll be able to hear clearly over other sounds in the room you're in.

  • Three Shades Available

This speaker comes in three shades for you to choose from, including basic black, red and blue. You'll also have the option of obtaining a second speaker in the same shade as the first one.

  • Compact Size

The Boom Touch is about the same size as a pair of binoculars, making it compact enough for you to carry around in a suitcase, backpack or large handbag. Most users will also be able to carry it in one hand, from room to room, in the same dwelling.

  • Can Use Outdoors

Whether this type of device is weather-resistant is not specified, but each one will work as effectively outdoors as indoors, regardless of your location. One of these speakers may come in especially handy if you're throwing an outdoor party and want the guests to hear the music in every corner of your yard. You may also find one of these useful if you want to listen to tunes at a campsite or on the beach.

  • Battery Operated

This device is battery operated, so you won't have to find an available electrical outlet whenever you want to use yours, although you may have to obtain the 3 AA batteries required on your own. It's not clear how often the batteries within each speaker will need to be replaced.

  • Works With Most Devices

While some speakers will only work with smartphones, tablets and mp3 players that fall under the umbrella of certain brands, this type will work with all modern-day devices with external speakers. Consequently, if you happen to get a new device, or want to use a friend's device with your speaker, the speaker probably won't give you any problems in either situation.

Positive Points

  • Ideal For Dances

The sound amplification that the Boom Touch is capable of makes it an ideal speaker to use at formal dances or even dance classes. If you were to use just a smartphone or tablet to play music for dancing, it might sound kind of tinny and the sound might not travel effectively throughout the entire dancing area. Fortunately, a Boom Touch speaker (in combination with the device of your choice) will enable all dancers to hear the right music loudly and clearly, and thereby enjoy themselves more than they otherwise would.

  • Fun To Use In Car

Sometimes, especially if a particular vehicle has a weak sound system, the passengers in the back won't be able to hear any music being played as clearly as the people in the front. Your Boom Touch speaker will help remedy this issue, though. As soon as you turn it on and place your chosen music-playing device on top of it, everyone in the car should be able to hear the music just as nicely as anyone else. If a passenger doesn't want to hold onto the speaker, you could always place it on the armrest between the two front seats.

Negative Points

  • Non-Flat Devices May Fall Off

Luckily, most devices that people use today to play music are quite flat in nature. However, if you happen to have one that's not, it may not balance as securely on top of your Boom Touch speaker as other ones do. These speakers have been designed to hold up flat devices, so if yours isn't completely flat, you may have to check on it periodically to make sure it's not slipping off your speaker's top. The speakers may also take longer to pick up audio signals from non-flat devices in comparison to flat ones.

  • Doesn't Charge Devices

The Boom Touch speaker does not double as a charging dock, which means that once you set a device down on it, that device will be running solely on its own battery power. Once its charge has been depleted, you'll have to move it off your speaker and charge it somewhere else before placing it back on top of your speaker again.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Place Most Devices Vertically

If you want your speaker to pick up the audio signal from your digital device as quickly as possible, and your device is longer than it is wide, place the device vertically on your speaker. Since most digital devices come in this shape, this advice will work in most cases, but if your device is more square-shaped than most are, placing it horizontally is just as good an option.

  2. Don't Disturb Others

When you're looking to use your Boom Touch speaker in public, pay attention to the needs of the people around you. This speaker will play quite loudly, so if you've decided to set it up on a public beach or in a park, it's best to choose an area that's not populated by tons of strangers. Even if your music sounds great to you, not everyone will want to hear it at a high intensity.
