BlueStar Honor Care is a service that provides products and assistance that work towards allowing senior citizens to continue living independently as opposed to having to reside in a nursing home. There is also no need to have someone with users 24 / 7, which reduces tension between users and caregivers. It is available to all senior citizens, but mainly prides itself on helping veterans and patriots. BlueStar Honor Care aims to support veterans, their families, and their caregivers. Veterans own and run the service and it is certified by the Veterans Administration.
The cost of Blue Star Honor Care is $239.40 plus $19.00 shipping, for a total price of $258.40.

BlueStar Honor Care offers very up-to-date technology. The BlueStar Mobile Ranger Unit is the smallest mobile medical alert system available at this time.
The system offers personal safety and security at home and it also has real time GPS tracking for when a user is away from home. It also has two-way voice and an SOS Emergency Button. This is all in a compact, durable and shower-safe device.
The device is small – it is only 2.4” ( H ) x 1.7” (W) x 0.6” (D) and weighs 1.2 ounces. It can be worn under a shirt, if that is what a user chooses.
Installation is not difficult at all, and if any issues do arise, customer service is available to help during normal business hours.
The BlueStar Mobile Ranger Unit works like most other mobile medical alert systems do. It needs to be charged before use and will last between 4 and 6 days. There is a 24 / 7 nationwide monitoring service so help can arrive quickly if needed once the button is pressed. This device operates on an individual’s AT&T 3G cellular network. A coverage map is available on the professional BlueStar website. Real humans assist in calling family, friends, or emergency services depending on the situation. The device can be worn around the neck, and it can be worn in the shower.
Simply put, BlueStar Honor Care helps the elderly as they age. Getting older and less mobile is hard, and older individuals are much more susceptible to injuries, especially due to falls. The device is easy to use regardless if the senior citizen is good with technology or not.
The device protects older people and also gives their families and friends some peace of mind. Knowing that the elderly individual has a 24 / 7 method of requesting emergency help makes family and friends feel more comfortable with leaving him or her at home. It prevents “hovering” and reduces stress on each person. Users rely less on their caregivers which makes things less stressful.
Users can get a similar experience to other companies without having to pay so much. Veterans get discounts on the service.
The device usually functions properly without any problems. It connects users with a real human who can assist them.
Installation is simple and customer service is available to help during normal business hours if there are any issues.
The device needs to be charged once received so that it can last 4-6 days before needing to recharge it.
Users only have to press the button on the BlueStar Mobile Ranger Unit for it to connect them to assistance.
BlueStar Honor Care focuses mainly on veterans and their families. The device is easy to use. Installation is barely needed for the BlueStar Mobile Ranger Unit. BlueStar Mobile Ranger Units are also waterproof, so they can be worn in the shower or bathtub. The device is smaller than any other device on the market and it can easily be worn around the neck.
Even though this device is very small, some elderly people still feel it is too big.
There is no definitive way to know if the device is in need of immediate charging ( such as a red light ), so it could run out of battery without a sure warning.
Some consumers have complained that the device did not function properly in a time of need. The button just did not work, or the operator on the other side of the line had technical difficulties and could not provide assistance.
Numerous other companies offer the same kinds of services. Life Alert is probably the most popular alternative due to their “fallen and can’t get up! ” commercials. LifeStation, Medical Alert, MobileHelp, Philips Lifeline, and Rescue Alert are just a few other options. These all have various ranges, sizes, detection abilities, and costs.
Sometimes, devices like this are easily triggered; therefore, a simple accidental touch of the button can alert BlueStar that there is an issue, resulting in a false alarm. Of course, the company expects things like this to happen because most devices of this kind are over-sensitive, but it can be an inconvenience nonetheless.
If the device has some kind of technical or connection error, the user may not get the help they need.

Blue Star Honor Care is still going strong, in spite of the review stating otherwise. They are an excellent company to work with; I use one of their products and the service is excellent! Blue Star Honor Care provides many different products engineered to make the life for seniors and the disabled more manageable by the individual. I have not been paid to write this and BSHC does not know about my feedback to you or any other site. I would hope you will research them a bit more to make your review more accurate for your visitors.
