Blu Breeze

Blu Breeze is a compact and portable air conditioner that'll use less energy than a larger air conditioning system. It's small enough to fit on any table or countertop, and you can use it in virtually any room of your home. You may even want to place it beside you outdoors on a super-hot day. Instead of using tons of electricity, it converts water into cool yet humidified air, and can also be powered by batteries or a USB cable.

The cost of Blu Breeze is $29.99 and the shipping is FREE!

My Blu Breeze Video Review

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Take Off Lid and Add Water

To begin using this small air conditioning unit, after making sure it's sitting securely on a flat surface, you'll need to take off its lid and pour water into the designated hole. For this task, don't use water that's extremely hot or cold, and if you're not sure exactly where to pour it in, consult your instruction manual. You should also consult your manual to find out exactly how much water to pour into your unit.

  2. Turn on Unit

Once there's enough water in your unit, turn it on by using the power button in the bottom right-hand corner.

  3. Enjoy Cool Temperature

Within seconds, after you power up your Blu Breeze, you'll be able to enjoy a comfortably cool yet not shockingly cold temperature in the area immediately surrounding you.

How It Works

The Blu Breeze does its work effectively due to aqua-cool technology. This means that when you pour water into it, it collects in the filter inside and the device's fan pulls in dry, stale air from the environment outside. The filter then converts the dry, stale and likely hot air into cool, humidified air, and releases it back into the room to cool you off.

Features

  • Lid and Handle

Each Blue Breeze comes with a lid and a handle attached, so if you make use of these when moving yours around, you'll be unlikely to spill and therefore waste any water within.

  • Portable

Besides having a lid and handle, each of these air conditioning units is also completely portable due to its size. Each one is about the size of most toasters, and they're all lightweight, too, so you'll be able to move yours from room to room or to your vehicle without becoming exhausted. One will even fit in your suitcase if you're taking it along with you while you travel—just be sure that it's empty of water first!

  • No Loud Noise

Unlike some air conditioning units, this one won't create any loud noise, so if you use it at your desk while working, you won't disturb the other people who are nearby. The same goes if you use it at home while a television program or movie is on, or while others in the household are having a conversation close by.

  • Three Sources of Power

You can run your Blu Breeze by plugging it into an electrical outlet, but you'll also be able to run it with batteries or by plugging it into your computer via the included USB cable. Therefore, your use of it won't be limited if there are no electrical outlets in a particular space that needs cooling.

  • Can Get Two at Once

While you may choose to obtain only one of these units, you'll have the option of getting two, which you can use simultaneously in two different rooms of your home. If you happen to only need one at home, you could take a second one to work or to the cottage.

Positive Points

  • Use Indoors or Outdoors

Some air conditioning units are designed only for indoor use, but this one can be used outdoors, such as in the yard or on the deck, too. Plus, it'll take you a couple of minutes at most to transport it from indoors to outdoors and back again, when needed.

  • May Help With Sleep

Hot nights can make sleep difficult, but if you place your Blu Breeze on your night table and power it up, you may fall asleep more quickly than you would otherwise. Furthermore, the device is so quiet that it won't disturb anyone sleeping in the room with you, such as a partner beside you or a roommate across the room in another bed. Its breeze will also be directed at you, so if someone else doesn't need to be cooled off, they won't have to put up with being hit by a blast of cold air.

  • Ideal for Small Apartments

In small apartments (and dorm rooms), there simply isn't room for large air conditioning units sometimes. Fortunately, if you live in a very small dwelling, the Blu Breeze will help keep you cool without taking up a few feet of much-needed space.

Negative Points

  • Requires Use of Water

You'll need a steady supply of water in order to keep this air conditioning unit running, so if you pay for your own cold water, that could hit you in the pocketbook. If you don't pour water in the device first, it won't do its job at all, and if you try to use less water than you're supposed to, it'll be less effective.

  • No Dehumidifying Option

The Blu Breeze humidifies the air it releases before it lets it out, which is great for people who enjoy humidity. However, some people, such as those who suffer from asthma and/or allergies, do better in a dehumidified environment and may have trouble breathing in a humidified one. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that you can opt to dehumidify the air that comes out of your unit instead of humidifying it.

  • Batteries Not Included

If you choose to run your unit with batteries, you'll need 4 AA batteries, but they're not included with any of these units.

Warnings

  • Keep Away From Babies

As children under three might stick their fingers in one of these units and hurt themselves, you must make sure they can't get near one of them. If you want to keep using yours with a baby or toddler around, you could place it up high out of their reach, such as on top of the refrigerator. Each unit should also be kept away from pets, as they could play around with it and get themselves into trouble in the same way.

Critical Advice

Since this air conditioning unit will begin to cool an area in just seconds, there's no reason for you to leave one on when you're not at home. If you leave yours off and turn it on immediately after arriving home, you'll conserve power, regardless of whether you're using electricity, batteries or the included USB cable.

Save Money

A lot of large air conditioning units must use electricity to run, and this can cause your bill to skyrocket. Fortunately, there are two other methods of powering up your Blu Breeze, and even if you choose to plug it in, its small size means that it'll consume less electricity than bigger units.

Upgrade Ripoff

Blu Breeze has raised its price to $ 39.98 with the 2nd unit costing $ 19.98 PLUS the speed and directional adjustments are now upgrades that you have to pay for to the Blu Breeze PRO. The order process will ask if you want to upgrade to be able to adjust the vent and the air speed (between low and high) for $19.98 per unit. If you hit NO, the next screen will ask you if you'd be willing to pay $ 9.98 per unit. I think at a price of almost $ 80.00 for both that's ridiculous, especially since the original price for 2 units was under $45.00 with the upgrades included.

Don't Waste Your Money

I purchase 2 Blu Breeze units. Both will be retuned. One leaked from every seam, battery area and bottom. The other ran on high for 5 minutes, switched itself to low speed, would not go back to high. 10 minutes later all the lights quit. Really disappointing.
