The cost of Bite Me Bobber is $19.99 plus $7.99 shipping, for a total price of $27.98.

The Bite Me Bobber is designed to be hassle-free and easy to use. The device opens from the center and holds up to a quarter ounce of gel-based fish attractant. One fill should last approximately 100 jigs of the rod. While the manufacturer does not explicitly state that liquid-based attractants cannot be used, you may experience subpar results with a liquid-based product.
The Bite Me Bobber comes equipped with an easy to read gauge, letting you know when it's time to refill the bobber. When you fill the product a small cylinder shape will protrude from the bottom of the device. As the attractant drains the cylinder will sink back into the bobber, eventually lining up flush with the device. Once the cylinder gauge is flush with the bobber, it's time to refill the device with more attractant.
Most bobbers on the market come equipped with plastic beads. The purpose of the beads is to make noise and help attract fish to your bait. One of the main features of the Bite Me Bobber is the implementation of brass beads. The manufacturer states that the brass beads not only make a louder noise but that this noise will travel farther than traditional plastic beads.
There are tons of different bobbers and attractants on the market. What sets the Bite Me Bobber apart from its competition is the automatic release of fish attractant. At the time of this report, it does not appear that any other sporting companies make a bobber that will automatically release attractant into the water.
Using fish attractant or chum is legal in many areas. However, some jurisdictions put limits on the type of fish attractants or chum you can use. In some areas, it's illegal to use any kind of attractant or chum to aid in fishing. Be sure to check local laws in your area before using this product.
The Bite Me Bobber comes with a bottle of gel-based attractant. The manufacturer states that this will work on a wide variety of salt and freshwater fish. Depending on what you're trying to catch or where you're trying to catch it, your results may vary. It's probably a good idea to consult your local fishing community to see which particular brands and styles of attractant they find most useful. Ultimately, experimentation will lead to the best results.
The main purpose of fish attractant is to mask unwanted human smells such as sunscreen, colognes and cigarette smoke. When you touch your bait, these unwanted smells can transfer. Fish attractant will help cover up smells that are undesirable, but due diligence will help produce even better results. Be aware of scents that might be lingering on your person. If possible, avoid smoking, using scented shampoo's, lotions or any product that might contain a fragrance before you embark on your fishing trip.
While attractant will aide in your fishing experience, it comes second to bait and lures. Be sure to research the types of baits that have been found most effective for catching your desired species of fish. Many fishermen will have different preferences and just like with attractants, experimenting is key.
