Bionic Flex Pro is a 25-foot black garden hose with solid brass fittings that's been engineered to resist kinking, tangling or bursting. It's stated that the outer shell of each hose is made of a reinforced commercial-grade polyester weave and that each one's solid brass nozzle is suitable for blasting away debris and watering plants. Plus, it appears that these hoses will attach to any standard outdoor spigot and roll up nicely in a circle for storage when they're not in use.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Attach to Outdoor Spigot

To get started with your Bionic Flex Pro, you'll need to attach the end that's opposite its nozzle to the outdoor spigot that you'd attach a standard garden hose to. Of course, if another garden hose is already attached to that spigot, you'll have to remove it first before attaching this one.

  2. Turn on Water

Once your hose is attached to an outdoor spigot, turn on that spigot so that water can start to come out of your hose's nozzle. For a lighter mist, keep the nozzle twisted to the left, while you can twist it to the right for a more powerful, pinpointed spray.

  3. Move Hose Around Yard

After you've adjusted the nozzle so that the hose's water flow is in line with your needs, you can then move your hose around your yard to complete the chores of your choice. It's drag-resistant, so it should glide fairly smoothly across any type of terrain, even over rocks. The hose is also kink-resistant, so it shouldn't kink and force you to stop your work to straighten it out, either.

  4. Turn Off Hose

When you're done using your hose for a while, turn off the water source and coil the hose up so it takes up as little space as possible. However, keep in mind that it's tangle-resistant, so if you forget to coil it up, you likely won't find it the least bit tangled when you go to use it again. If you've got a hose reel around your house already, you might choose to coil it around that, but that won't be necessary.

  • Length of 25 Feet

Each Bionic Flex Pro hose is 25 feet long, which is about the same length as four or five people lying down in a straight, vertical line. If you've got an average-sized backyard, you should be able to reach the majority of your yard with this hose, and you'll likely be able to reach any second-floor windows you have with its spray. When coiled up, though, this hose will only take up a couple of feet of space.

  • Solid Brass Fittings

Instead of plastic fittings that could break easily, each of these hoses is equipped with fittings made of solid brass. Due to their strength and durability, these fittings may be able to survive being run over by a vehicle's tire without incurring damage.

  • Lightweight

Some traditional green garden hoses are extremely heavy, making them difficult for even physically fit adults to drag around. On the other hand, the Bionic Flex Pro hose is fairly lightweight, so kids, along with seniors and other adults who may have mobility issues, will likely have no trouble moving it around. If you've been using a traditional garden hose to do your watering, you may find that you're able to accomplish more work at a faster speed once you switch to this lighter one.

  • Resists Sun Damage

Traditional garden hoses will often crack and split if they're left out in the hot sun for hours or days, which makes them nearly useless without a repair. The Bionic Flex Pro hose will resist this type of sun damage, though, so you'll be able to leave it out whenever you feel like it without worrying that you'll find it broken.

Positive Points

  • Blasts Away Debris

If you turn this hose's nozzle to the right to get a powerful, pinpointed spray, it'll be able to blast away dirt and debris (including leaves) virtually anywhere in your yard. You may want to use it to clean off your patio, your pool deck, or some lawn furniture that's become covered in grime. Turn the spray's power down just a little by twisting the nozzle to the left, and then it'll be ideal for cleaning debris off of your home's siding and windows, too.

  • Gentle on Plants

Although this hose's spray can be super-powerful, it can also be gentle enough that you can use it to water your plants. Just make sure you've turned its jet nozzle quite far to the left, and it'll provide you with a more delicate mist that will allow your smallest flowers to drink without destroying them.

  • Can Withstand Harsh Terrain

Some rubber hoses will crack or pick up holes when dragged across rough, rocky or bumpy terrain, especially if you have to drag one around multiple corners. The drag-resistant Bionic Flex Pro has been made to survive being pulled across nearly any type of terrain in any direction, though, without picking up so much as a thin scratch. Therefore, once you've got one of these hoses, it'll likely last you for years on end.

Negative Points

  • No Longer Versions Available

While some heavy-duty hoses come in lengths of 50, 75 or 100 feet, this one comes in just the one length of 25 feet. Consequently, if you have a large property, one hose may not be able to travel all the way through it. You may have to get two or three of these hoses and attach them to different spigots or opt to use an alternative hose type that comes in lengthier versions.

  • Doesn't Self-retract

After you turn the water source that's flowing through them off, some hoses will retract by themselves and gradually turn into a smaller coil. Unfortunately, that's not the case with the Bionic Flex Hose, as sleek as it may be. While this hose can be rolled up so that it's not its full size, you'll have to do the rolling, as it won't retract on its own.

Save Time

If you get a hose that doesn't have a tangle-resistant and kink-resistant design, you may have to spend tons of time removing tangles and kinks before you can get to any real work. By the time you're able to move on to maintaining your yard, you may be fatigued. Once you have a Bionic Flex Pro hose, though, the need for this pre-work will be erased, since the hose has been designed to never kink or tangle. Furthermore, even if you do find your hose tied in knots for some reason, it's specified that this won't interfere with its water flow or regular abilities, so undoing the knots won't be absolutely necessary.
