With this device, you can choose whether you want your eggs soft, medium, or hard-boiled and it will cook them perfectly according to your preference. When your eggs are done as you specified, a buzzer will sound and the indicator light will go off. Remove your eggs and they should be done perfectly.
You`ll never have to carry a pan filled heavily with water to the stove again, at least not for cooking eggs. You only need to fill the bottom container with a few centimeters of water for this device to work.
This device allows you to cook seven eggs at the same time, all perfectly done to your liking. Cooking seven eggs in a pan would take much longer than if you did them in this gadget.
Big Boss Egg Genie comes with an insert which allows you to cook poached eggs. So the device does allow for some versatility and variety.
Another extra feature of the Big Boss Egg Genie is a steam insert tray included with the device, which allows you to steam vegetables. This is much easier and more convenient than trying to steam your vegetables in a pan, and will also save you time.
The cooker includes a loud buzzer noise and an indicator light that shuts off when your eggs are ready. The buzzer continues to sound until you come to turn it off. This is a safety feature which prevents you from overcooking the eggs.
There is a piercing pin attached to the device. This allows you to put a small hole at the top of each egg, which will relieve the pressure inside the egg during the cooking process and prevent it from cracking.
There are two inserts included with this product; one to make poached eggs and the other to steam vegetables. This makes the product make flexible, and not simply focused exclusively on boiled eggs.
This handy gadget takes all of the guesswork out of boiling eggs. The cup included tells you exactly how much water to use for soft, medium, and hard boiled eggs. Then the buzzer and indicator light goes off when the eggs are done.
This device is really simple to use, and very difficult to use wrong. It`s good for people who are either uncomfortable in the kitchen, or who simply want to make their lives easier.
Although the buzzer is a safety feature and not meant to be pleasant sounding, it really is an annoying noise. It continues to go off until you come to turn it off, which prevents the eggs from overcooking. It's clear why the feature exists, but it would still be nice if the buzzer noise was slightly less grating on the ears.
The materials used to make this product are not overly high quality; mostly the gadget is cheaply made using plastic. That means that chances are, the device will not last very long before breaking.
The poached egg insert does make fairly decent poached eggs, but the major flaw here is that you absolutely can't get them out of the tray without breaking the yolk and ruining them. The only way to eat them would be either torn and falling apart, or out of the tray itself, which is far less than ideal. This is very disappointing for lovers of poached eggs.
This little device has no actual off switch. When you want to turn it off, you simply unplug it from the wall. This just doesn't seem as practical or helpful as having an actual button to turn off the machine.
The Genie may make perfectly done hard-boiled eggs, but they are not completely finished. They're steaming hot and still have to sit in cold water for a little bit to stop them from cooking and so you can peel them more easily. So the device does not do the complete job.
The device has a base where you add water, a tray with slots for up to seven eggs and a plastic covering to put over the eggs. The cover has a hole in it so steam can be released. There is also a small cup included with markings to show you how much water you add if you want to make soft, medium, or hard-boiled eggs.
To cook boiled eggs, fill the cup to the level you need (soft, medium, or hard). Now pour the water into the bottom of the device. Put the number of eggs you want in the slots. Put the covering over the device. Plug the Genie in and wait for your eggs to be ready! You'll hear a buzzer and the indicator light will go off when your eggs are done.
To make poached eggs, use the steam insert tray. Add water to the bottom, and then place the tray on top of the boiled egg tray and cover the device as before. When they are cooked, the buzzer will go off. Remove them and gently take each one out of the tray with a spoon.
If you want to cook steamed vegetables, use the steam tray insert. Add water to the bottom of the container and place the tray with the vegetables on it on top of the boiled egg tray. Then cover the tray, plug in the device, and wait for the buzzer to indicate that your vegetables are cooked.
With this device, you can boil or poach eggs or steam vegetables very easily and quickly in just a few minutes. You don't have to carry a heavy pan of water to the stove and go through the process of cooking perfectly boiled eggs, which certainly takes more time than in the Big Boss Egg Genie. The device makes egg-making a pleasure.
