Better Grip is a metal tool that does the work of both a wrench and a ratchet. It locks securely on a nut of any size, and stays securely fastened on the nut making it easy to turn it and get it loosened. This wrench adjusts quickly to all sizes of nuts so there is no need to get another tool to do the job. One end of the tool pulls on the nut, and the other side of the tool pushes on it. The unique design increases the torque on the nut, and that makes it easier to remove it.

Total Cost Breakdown

The cost of Better Grip is $59.90 plus $6.95 shipping, for a total price of $66.85.

Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page:

  • Does Not Slip

Better Grip latches securely on a nut, fastener, or pipe. It won't slip off when it is turned. The Better Grip holds onto the flat end of a nut so it won't round it off and slip.

  • Versatile Tool

This tool works as a wrench and as a ratchet. It adjusts to sizes in metric and AF. This mean that there is no need to look for other size tools to do the job. The Better Grip can be used to do plumbing jobs, on bike wheels, and in many other places including jobs in tight places.

  • Set of Four

The product comes in a set of four sizes. There are four, six, eight and ten inch Better Grips that will work on nuts and bolts that are two milimeters to sixty-five milimeters in size.

  • Storage Case Included

Better Grip comes with a rubber case in which all four sized wrenches can be conveniently stored.

  • Saves Knuckles

Better Grip locks onto a nut with such strength that it will not slip off and cause skinned knuckles.

  • Useable With Rounded Nuts

This tool is usable even if the nut is completely rounded off. The tool is designed to still latch on tightly, and effectively remove it.

  • Easier to Use

The wrench has a design in which one half of the tool latches on and pulls and the other half pushes. This design gives more torque to the tool so it takes less force to loosen the nut or dislodge a rusted pipe. It can latch onto a pipe at a ninety degree angle which makes it easier to get into the close quarters.

  • Guaranteed

There is a lifetime guarantee on the metal parts of the wrench.

  1. Hard to Use

Purchasers were not able to engage the locking action with just one hand. The number of attempts to use the tool or the circumstances under which it was being used is not known and may explain the problem.

  2. Rubber Handle Inferior

Users described the rubber on the wrench as being made of inferior material and subject to breakage after only a few uses. The rubber handle is not a part of the money back guarantee on the item.

Does It Really Work?

Yes, the tool does function as a wrench and as a ratchet. It tightly latches onto a nut with both of its ends to turn and remove nuts and bolts. The tool conforms to the size of the nut. This feature prevents any slippage of the wrench or any stripping of a nut.

Save Money

Better Grip saves money by eliminating the need for multiple tools like socket wrenches, pipe wrenches, and multiple sockets to fit different size nuts and bolts. It does the job of multiple different kinds of wrenches without additional attachments.

  • Guarantee Details

It is unclear how long the guarantee is on the product. In the commercial for it, the spokesman says the Better Grip has a lifetime guarantee. He does not qualify what that guarantee entails.

How it's Different from Competitors

Unlike others tools that often slip or strip bolts and nuts, Better Grip is specially designed to never, ever slip.

It is meant to replace an entire sockets set. With this tool, you'll no longer need to switch between tools during a project. Better Grip has ratchet like action and works on four, six, eight sided nuts. It'll also work a on AF or Metric sizes and will even work on already stripped nuts.

As opposed to traditional wrenches and ratchets, this tool always works on the flat. One of the jaws is meant to push, while the other pulls, doubling the actions and giving you extra power and torque. This product is also designed to only partially grab onto its target, allowing you to be able to get into tighter to reach places.

Easy to Use

  1. Just Squeeze and Turn

The Better Grip is designed to be easy to use. You simply select the proper sized wrench from your kit, fit it around whatever you would like to tighten or loosen and then squeeze the handles and turn with ease.

Save Time

This product will save you time by allowing you to use only one single tool for an entire project. It is meant to replace an entire socket set, therefore you will be able to get jobs done faster, without having to constantly switch between tools.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Also Great for Loosening

In some situations, you will not have enough room to use a traditional pipe wrench since they are often rather large. With the Better Grip, you can easily loosen anything, without needing to reach completely around the pipe.

  2. Guarantee

This product is backed by an unconditional lifetime guarantee.

  3. Limited Time Offer

The Better Grip is available exclusively online. If you purchase, you will get four different sized wrenches that will fit any nut from 2 mm to 65 mm.

  • Ratchets and Sockets

One alternative to the Better Grip is a traditional ratchet and socket set. While also very reliable, it can be annoying to always have to search for the right size socket.

  • Pipe Wrenches

Pipe Wrenches are a sure fire way to loosen or tighten almost anything. Although, they are very heavy and can be hard to fit into small spaces.

  • Vise Grips

These are pliers that lock into place and allow you to tightly grip and turn almost anything.

  • Craftsman Axess Locking Wrench

These are a locking wrench that wrap completely around its target. It would be useful for nuts and bolts but not for use around pipes.

  • Guarantee

Although the lifetime guarantee is a major perk of this product, it only applies to metal parts of the Better Grip. This means that if you ever crack or break the plastic grip, you will not be able to get a replacement.

Critical Advice

Better Grip is made of metal and will could lead to electrocution if misused. Always be careful when working around electricity and make sure that all breakers or fuses are turned off and that you are properly grounded.
