How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Place Food on Tray

Once the white base of your Better Fresh Tray is resting on a flat surface, open up the lid and place some food on the white surface inside. You can place virtually any food item of your choice on the tray, including pieces of meat, vegetables, fruit slices, baked desserts, and more. Plus, you won't have to worry about the flavor from one piece of food being transferred to another. As long as you leave enough space between different items, the tray will keep each piece securely in its original spot.

  2. Close and Lock Lid

When you feel like your tray is full, close the lid and lock it with the two red clips that you'll see on one side. Even if you've got a lot of food on your tray, or you've got pieces that are fairly thick on there, the lid's silicone center should stretch over them nicely.

  3. Store in Refrigerator

Typically, after you've closed the lid of this tray, you'll likely place the tray in your refrigerator. However, you could also store it in your freezer, or use it to warm food up in your microwave.

  4. Open Lid

Regardless of whether you've put your tray in your refrigerator, freezer, or microwave, you'll eventually need to open it up again to get the food out. To do so, simply undo your lid's two red clips and push or pull the lid upwards to fully open it.

How It Works

Once the transparent silicone center of your Better Fresh Tray comes in contact with the food that's resting on the tray, it'll begin to conform to the various shapes of those food items. This, in turn, will push air out of the tray and create an airtight seal when your lid is firmly closed and locked. Airtight seals are commonly known for keeping food fresh and flavorful for longer than it otherwise would be. Therefore, when you remove your food from this tray later, it should taste better than it would if it had been stored under plastic wrap, under tinfoil, or in a plastic bag.

  • Red and White

Each Better Fresh Tray is mostly white, and each one's lid has a red plastic border that surrounds the transparent center. This color combination gives it quite a cheery appearance, so you'll likely find that it looks attractive in your kitchen, on your deck, or in your backyard.

  • Transparent Center

The transparent center within each of these trays will enable you to see all the food items you've placed on yours whenever you want to. This option may come in handy if you store a tray of leftovers away one day, and forget exactly what was on it later that week. Due to the fact that each tray is at least as large as one that you'd get at a hospital or school cafeteria, you'll also have lots of room to spread your food out.

  • Reusable

Unlike the plastic bags, plastic wrap, tin foil, and wax paper that you'd need to throw out after one to several uses, you'll be able to reuse this tray for years. The transparent center is puncture-resistant, so if you poke it with your fingers, or the food that you put on your tray includes bones or toothpicks, it likely won't get damaged.

  • Stackable

If you decide to get more than one of these trays, you'll be able to stack one on top of the next in your refrigerator or freezer in order to save some space. When your trays aren't in use, you'll also be able to stack them on a countertop or in a cabinet.

  • Impact-Resistant

Besides possessing a puncture-resistant lid, the Better Fresh Tray is also impact-resistant. If you drop it, it's highly improbable that it'll break, and you can expect the food on the tray to remain as-is without spilling or getting mixed together. Keep in mind that in order to get this result, the lid must be closed and locked. Otherwise, your tray will still be unlikely to break, but it may spill.

Positive Points

  • Ideal for Parties

The Better Fresh Tray is an ideal one to take to a party if you're bringing a dish, and it's an ideal piece of kitchenware to use if you're having your own party, too. If you have to walk with your food or transport it in a vehicle, your tray's airtight seal and locking lid will help keep it fresh and secure. Once your food has arrived at its destination, such as a friend's house or your own yard, it'll stay fresh for a long time while the party guests mingle and talk.

  • Dishwasher Safe

If you have a dishwasher, you'll be able to add this tray to an ordinary load. Before you do so, it's best to fully detach your tray's lid from the rest of its body, and place each piece in its own separate space in the dishwasher. Similarly, those users who don't have a dishwasher should detach the lid from the body and wash each piece separately with soap and water.

Negative Points

  • Not Good for Tall Items

While the silicone center of each Better Fresh Tray will stretch over most food items, including thick ones, it's not a great choice if you want to store very tall items. When placing most pieces of food, you'll have to place them horizontally instead of vertically, in order to minimize their height. Moreover, if you want to use this tray to store an intact pineapple that's standing at attention, you'll probably be out of luck.

Save Money

If you don't have a tray like this one, you might end up throwing out lots of leftovers that have gone bad in your fridge, along with some that have picked up freezer burn. Fortunately, once you do obtain one or more of these trays, you likely won't be heading to the store to replace a bunch of different foods as often as you did before. Instead, you'll be able to store your leftovers on one of these trays, and when you open each tray up again, you can expect the food on it to still taste good.
