Bacon Pod is a microwave-safe device with three separate parts: a vertical rack that's meant to accommodate multiple pieces of bacon, a dome lid, and a base that's been designed to catch grease drips. The idea behind this device is that you'll be able to use it to evenly cook (and crisp) at least several strips of bacon in your microwave, without making a mess. That way, you won't have to bother with cooking bacon on your stovetop in a frying pan.
The cost of Bacon Pod is $19.99 and the shipping is FREE!

To get started with your Bacon Pod, hang between seven and 10 strips of uncooked bacon from the individual slats that are built into the device's vertical rack. Aside from uncooked bacon, you can also use this device to warm and crisp strips of pre-cooked bacon, if that's your preference. Do not hang more than one strip from any individual slat, as this could interfere with the evenness of the cooking process.
Once you've got your strips of bacon arranged on your device's rack, add the dome lid to cover everything up.
While leaving the dome lid in place, transfer your entire device to your microwave and set the timer for at least a minute. When the microwave beeps, you'll be able to check and see if the bacon has been cooked and crisped to your liking. If not, you can simply put your pod back in the microwave for a few more minutes. One minute may be sufficient for pre-cooked bacon, but you'll probably need to heat completely uncooked bacon for a longer period of time.
When your bacon is fully cooked, use your hands or a utensil to remove each strip from your Bacon Pod's vertical rack. If you use your hands, keep in mind that the bacon may be hot. After you've removed all your bacon from the rack, you can eat it as is or add it to salads, sandwiches, or other dishes of your choice.
You should be cleaning your Bacon Pod after each use, in order to get rid of any food residue that's been left behind, since aging food residue can lead to food poisoning. Since it's not specified that this device is dishwasher safe, it's best to separate the three parts and hand-wash them with soap and water.
When you cover your Bacon Pod's vertical rack with the pod's dome lid, this creates a dome of convection inside your microwave. Anything within this dome—meaning the bacon on the rack—can then be cooked evenly and effectively. As a result, when you remove your bacon strips from the rack, you'll notice that every piece is equally crispy and warm. With a differently shaped cooking device, such as a flat pan, a different result might occur: some pieces may be burnt, while others are mushy, cold, and uncooked.
The Bacon Pod isn't much bigger than a pitcher that you'd normally use for milk or juice, so the vast majority of users won't find it a heavy thing to carry around. Plus, due to its fairly small size, it won't take up a great deal of space on a countertop or in a cabinet. If your microwave is a standard size, you also won't have difficulty fitting this device into it comfortably.
If you cook bacon in a frying pan or in a microwave-safe dish without a cover, you might notice that bacon grease flies everywhere. The Bacon Pod has been designed to be splatter-proof, though, so the grease will stay within the dome, and you won't have to wipe out your microwave after you use this device. More specifically, any grease that's produced throughout the cooking process will be collected in the base of the device, which doubles as a drip tray. This grease can be neatly dumped down your sink or into a trash receptacle after you're done cooking.
The lid of each Bacon Pod is transparent, as opposed to being solid in nature, so you'll be able to see your bacon underneath it whenever you want to. As you become more experienced with this device, you may be able to just eyeball the bacon under the lid to determine whether it needs to spend more time in the microwave.
If you decide to throw some uncooked bacon strips into an open dish or pan, the strips may end up stuck together, regardless of whether you use your stove or microwave to cook them. Then you'll have to take the time to separate them with your fingers or a utensil, which could break the strips and make them look less appetizing. Fortunately, however, you won't have to deal with this problem if you use a Bacon Pod since the configuration of its rack will keep each strip from getting stuck to the ones beside it.
Ingesting bacon grease can add a lot of unnecessary calories to your diet, and increase your fat intake, too. If you're trying to lose weight or become more healthy in general, you may be pleased to realize that your Bacon Pod will collect excess grease in its base instead of letting you consume it. Without the extra calories from this grease, you might notice that your waistline shrinks, and the same goes for any family member you cook for who may be attempting to shed pounds or inches.
The taste of crispy bacon is enjoyed by many people in North America, but some people are simply too busy to turn their oven on and cook it, and microwaved bacon can come out mushy. Once you've got a Bacon Pod, though, you'll be able to cook yourself (and your family, if applicable) crispy bacon in minutes without waiting for your oven to heat up. Due to the device's design, the bacon won't end up being mushy like some microwaved bacon is, and you likely won't feel the temptation to open your wallet and head to a local restaurant instead.
While you could attempt to hang other types of food from your pod's rack and cook it in your microwave, the device has only been designed for bacon, so the results may not be positive. However, if you're a vegetarian or vegan, or you don't consume pork-based bacon for another reason, any type of bacon (such as tofu or turkey bacon) can be cooked with the help of this device. The results should be very similar to those you'd get with pork-based bacon, although the cooking time may need to be adjusted slightly.
