How It Works

Each unit works so effectively due to its evaporative water filters that make use of H20 cool fusion technology. This means that your unit will suck in hot, stale and dry air from the immediate environment and convert it into cool, moist air that'll make you feel much more comfortable. Each unit has the ability to cool down an area of up to 50 square feet for hours at a time, so even if you move your unit, some of its effects will linger.

  • Digital Thermostat

Each Atomic Cool unit has a digital thermostat that you can adjust in order to control the exact temperature you'd like your immediate area to be. You'll also be able to choose whether you want the device's fan to blow at a low or high setting ( the high setting will likely cool you down faster, but'll make more noise ). The thermostat operates via Fahrenheit temperatures.

  • Portable

This device is light and compact enough that almost anyone will be able to carry it around the house or even outside the home, and you may choose to use it in your vehicle. You may also find it useful beside your desk at your workplace, at the cottage, or in your RV. If you have a large suitcase, it'll fit right in the corner without taking up a ton of room that you need for clothing.

  • Batteries or Electricity

You can choose whether you want to plug your unit into an electrical outlet or operate it by using batteries. If you're at home, using an electrical outlet may be fine, but if you're on the road, using batteries may be necessary. In the event that your power goes out in the summer, you'll also be able to continue to cool your home by using batteries in this unit.

  • Black and Silver

The Atomic Cool cooling unit is black and silver, so regardless of where you have it sitting, it won't be extremely conspicuous, distracting from your decor.

Positive Points

  • Can Use in Virtually Any Room

You'll be able to use one of these units in virtually any room of your home, such as your hot kitchen while you're cooking or your work area in your stuffy garage. If you decide that you want to cool more than one room at once, you may even want to obtain several units and turn one on in each room. The units are so small that they'll comfortably rest on a piece of furniture iike a night table or a bathroom cabinet without taking up too much space.

  • Offer Lingering Effects

Even if you don't have a unit for every room, once you've had a unit on for a few hours in one room, the room won't immediately heat up again after you move the device. Instead, your unit's cooling effects will stay behind for a few hours, keeping whoever's in the room quite cool and comfortable.

  • Contribute to Good Health

If you're too hot in your home or in any space, this can cause health problems like heat stroke and / or trouble breathing, in addition to general discomfort. Fortunately, if you have even one of these Atomic Cool units, this will contribute to increased coolness in any space and thereby contribute to the good health of the people within it. Keeping cool is important for everyone, but it's especially beneficial for those individuals suffering from temporary or permanent physical conditions like asthma or allergies.

Negative Points

  • Batteries Not Included

It's stated that you can use batteries to operate one of these units, but batteries are not included with any of them, so you'll have to obtain them on your own.

  • Large Air Conditioning Units

Many people choose to use large air conditioning units, but these can take up tons of space in a home and cannot usually be moved from room to room. Plus, they're not always suitable for small apartments and dorm rooms, as they simply may not fit or may not be allowed by management.

  • Fans

Other people, those without air conditioning units, will turn on multiple fans within their home. This can give you a false sense of cooling, but really, the same hot air is just continuously being blown around an area while the fans are on. Unless you sit directly in front of a fan, which can be inconvenient, your body temperature likely won't drop much and you could still have breathing issues.

  • Opening Windows

If it's cool outside, opening all or almost all the windows is a good strategy for cooling one's home. However, if it's super-hot or even warm outdoors, this won't work, and you may in fact make your house hotter while letting more potential allergens in at the same time.

  • Don't Insert Anything in Vent

When using this portable cooling unit, you must never stick anything inside its vent, including your fingers, and you should tell any children under your care not to do so, either. If you were to stick your fingers in while the unit was operating, they could end up being clipped, and sticking anything in while the device is on or off could interfere with its functioning. The only parts of your Atomic Cool you'll need to touch are the outer shell, the digital thermostat, and the plug-in.

  • Don't Place Next to Breakables

If you have delicate, breakable objects such as wine glasses or small porcelain figurines in your home, don't place this cooling unit directly next to them. The force of the air coming out of the unit could cause the delicate objects to fall over and potentially get damaged.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Plug in or Insert Batteries

To begin using your Atomic Cool, you'll need to plug it into an electrical outlet in the desired location or insert appropriate batteries as per the instructions. You can plug it in virtually anywhere there's an outlet, but you may find that cool air circulates better when it's on a counter or a piece of furniture as opposed to the floor.

  2. Set Desired Temperature

After your device has been plugged in or contains enough batteries to run, use the digital thermostat buttons to set the desired temperature for the area surrounding it. Following that, the device will work to make the room you're in as close to that temperature as possible.

  3. Unplug or Move (optional)

When you're done using your cooling unit in a particular area, you can save electricity by unplugging it until the next use, if you've plugged it in to begin with. It's lightweight enough that most people will be able to unplug it and carry it to another area that needs cooling, too. If you move yours to a new location, you'll be able to quickly change the desired temperature via the digital thermostat, if necessary.

Save Money

If you decide to use one or more Atomic Cool units as opposed to using one or larger air conditioning units, your home will still be cool, but your electricity bill will decrease. Due to their size, large air conditioning units eat up a lot of electricity, especially if people forget to unplug them from the wall when they're not needed. Since the Atomic Cool is portable and can run on batteries, it'll seem more natural to unplug it and move it out of the way when you're not using it. Furthermore, when plugged in, one of these will use less electricity to cool a room of the same size than a plugged-in fan, which won't really cool the room but just blow air around.

Save Time

It can take a good while to set up a large air conditioning unit, especially if you have to lug it into the house or even up a set of stairs yourself. After one of these is plugged in, the digital display can also be difficult and time-consuming for some users to understand. Fortunately, you can save yourself a lot of time by using one or more Atomic Cool units instead, as no lugging will be involved, and the digital thermostat on each only has a few buttons. Regardless of whether you decide to plug your first unit in or use batteries, the entire setup process may take less than five minutes.

You need to call bulbhead 800-887-2717. I just spoke with them and apparently these fans are on back order and are not expected until like late November. My order was placed 10 / 16 and by giving them the order number I was given, they did confirm my order is still waiting to be processed. I hope this helps. That is my biggest problem with bulbhead. They don't contact you with bckorder info.
