The Atomic Beam Lantern is stronger and brighter, allegedly, than a traditional flashlight. Built to last, the Atomic Beam Lantern design uses military technology and is built to withstand even the most extreme conditions. You can use this for camping, boating, hunting, cookouts, or even sleepovers. What’s more, you can purchase the lantern by itself or you can purchase a bundle which offers the lantern, the flashlight, and the headlight all made from the same company.
The cost of Atomic Beam Lantern is $19.99 and the shipping is FREE! Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page: atomiclantern.com
It is good as a general light inside of the tent when you're camping. You can hang it in a tent and walk around at night when you're camping to see the things that are in front of you.
This unit uses COB LEDs which are stacked across three atomic beam reflectors to give you the best light.
The unit can allegedly handle any abuse. It is water resistant and weather resistant meaning you can take it underwater with you. What's more, it also has a durable case such that it can withstand a high-impact fall.
It is a suitable option if the power goes out while you are at home.
It is easy to carry around.
You have the option to upgrade the unit you are purchasing so that it has a magnetic base. Magnetic bases allow you to stick the light upside down while you are working so that it still holds on. This is ideal for situations such as looking under the hood of your car where you might not have a place to hang the lantern or sit it without it falling. In such cases you can simply stick it to the bottom of the hood and pull it open exposing the light that you need.
This ultra bright tactical lantern claims to offer you military grade technology. The wording is a little questionable insofar as the website states that the military uses some of the most powerful lighting in the world and now you can use that same technology at home. This does not specifically say that the exact same technology used by military is used in this design. However, it is stronger and brighter than a traditional flashlight.
You do get 360° of bright, white light. The case is very sturdy and portable, such that if it were to fall down a hill, fall off your truck bed, or be exposed to extreme temperatures while you're camping, it would still work. In cases such as boating, if it were to fall in the water and you scooped it up rather immediately it wouldn't cause permanent damage.
The brightness, because of the 360° can be very difficult to work with because it constantly shines in your face. There is no way for you to change the angle or prevent it from hitting you when you were holding it.
There is no way to control the brightness of this lantern so while it is very useful in lighting up a large area. However, if you wanted to have a small night light next to your campfire or inside of your tent it would be hard. If you just wanted something very dim that saved on battery power, you would not have those options with this design.
To operate the Atomic Beam Lantern you do need three AA batteries. This is kind of a down side insofar as the more you use it, the faster you will drain the battery life. The more expensive the regular operational costs will be. Additionally, due to the fact that it does use batteries in order to operate, if you do not check the battery life before you head out it is problematic. If you find yourself in an emergency situation without fully charged batteries, having the light won't matter because it won't work.
Due to the fact that does operate on batteries it is not ideal for prolonged use outdoors in inclement weather. The weather resistant feature simply means that it won't break immediately if the weather changes. However, that doesn't mean that you should keep it outside in something like rain or snow for multiple days at a time. Doing so will cause the batteries to rest not necessarily the unit itself.
Much like any lantern on the market today this lantern is built inside of a sturdy case so that the light itself is protected. Traditional LED lightbulbs are what provide a better brightness and longer lifespan. The unit folds into itself so that when you are not using it, it stands just roughly 6 to 8 inches in height.
There are two metal handles on either side which fold down against the main container when not in use. When you want to use the light those two handles conflict upward so that you can hang the lantern from something. Upon pulling the top part up you will expose the bright light. There is no on or off switch for this lantern light many, because the act of pushing it downturns it off while the act of pulling it open and turns it on. If you want a dimmer light or you don't want the light to cover as wide a span you can always open it halfway.
Compared to ordinary flashlights the Atomic Beam Lantern is portable and easy to use, which is true of ordinary flashlights. However, this unit offers 360° of light. Survives high impact fall can be said of the atomic being lantern but not of the ordinary flashlights. What's more, it is guaranteed to last a lifetime and is built to withstand even the most extreme of weather.
Lemon Tec Offers a portable LED camping lantern which is water resistant and uses 30 LED bulbs , suitable for hiking, emergencies, hurricanes, storms, and power outages. This unit is decidedly less expensive by comparison and offers the same 360° brightness. It has the same push collapse so as to provide an easy on or off option. Lightweight, there's nothing to set up. Their design is made from water resistant plastic which is allegedly military grade and offers a 10 year warranty.
Active research offers one of the highest rated LED lanterns with 30 LED bulbs for omnidirectional lighting. Premium lanterns can be used inside or outside with the collapsible design for easy transportation. Water resistant, durable, compact, and portable it uses military grade plastic on the exterior and can be placed anywhere. A single set of double a batteries will provide light for 72 hours.
There are not any actual settings on the lantern but you can adjust its brightness by how far you lift it up. The closer you have the lantern to the ground, the less it will illuminate the room. For the best lighting try to hang the lantern from the ceiling or at least above your head.
Yes. This product is manufactured in China and imported to the United States.
The Atomic Beam Lantern uses LED bulbs for its lights which are meant to last for years. Although LEDs will not last for life, they will last significantly longer than tradition bulbs with an element.
The Atomic Beam Lantern is meant to produce more than 350 lumens and has a run time of 12 hours on 3 AA batteries.
One customer complained that even with brand new batteries, the lantern did not produce enough light to illuminate a room.
There was one complaint from a customer who claimed that the light stayed on when they closed their lantern. This caused their batteries to die much faster than they usually would. The customer wishes to see a manual on / off switch on the lantern.
One customer complained that their Atomic Beam Lantern was not waterproof.
Another customer complained that the lantern was made from cheap plastic and was a total waste of their money. They claimed that the lantern worked for the first two times that they used it, but would no longer turn off after that.
One customer made a complaint that their Atomic Beam Lantern ran for only about 30 minutes before the batteries overheated and short-circuited the lantern. Upon opening the battery compartment, the customer found that the batteries had even started leaking.
There were a couple of complaints that the product was not as rugged or as large as it appeared in the advertisement.
One customer accused the company of false advertising. They do not believe that this product is used by the military due to the fact that it has a plastic casing, which is nowhere near as rugged as required for military use.
There has been at least one report of this product's batteries overheating and leaking. Always be sure to keep on eye on this lantern while it is in use and make sure that it is turned off when not in use.
When you choose to purchase the Atomic Beam Lantern, you will be able to get a second lantern for only a small extra fee. This offer will also include a free Atomic Beam Flashlight and free shipping on your order.
There are two upgrades available when purchasing this product. You may choose to upgrade your lantern to the Deluxe Atomic Beam Lantern which claims to be bigger and brighter. There is also a bundled offer that includes the Lantern, Flashlight, and an Atomic Beam Headlight.

We've bought 3 of these lights for our house. We lose power regularly and these work great. Got one with the magnetic base which we can mount to the lights in the bathroom. All three work as advertised and are much better than a regular flashlight. Would highly recommend it.

This is one of the worst customer service experiences I can remember ever having. It feels like pure con artistry. All the ads and the individuals that you speak with on the phone while ordering tell you that it's 2 lanterns plus a flashlight for one price of $19.99. It is the closest thing to total BS false misleading and Deceiving sales tactics imaginable. In my opinion that company is not honest they're advertising is not honest and I do not recommend anyone purchase their products under these sales tactics that are being used against you.

I made the mistake of purchasing your lantern at our local Target store for a short backpack camping trip with my children. We did not even use the lantern for 24 hours and it is broken. The entire side of the lantern melted. I can no longer slide it in and out to turn it on and off and when the batteries die, I will not be able to open the battery compartment. Your lantern is useless and made from extremely poor material. I am very curious what is meant by your testimonial "built to withstand extreme conditions" since it got no further then a small campfire for smore making built by a mother and her 11 year old son. I have always been skeptical of As Seen on TV products. I guess I found myself another scam company. I should have stuck with a true camping brand, I had a Coleman in my hand but I put it back for because of the false advertising of your piece of trash. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I'm sure you won't message me back or even acknowledge this review, most scam companies never do, which is why I don't usually bother to write but this had to be said. I am very disappointed and I wasted my money.

We had a power outage last night got the lantern at our local dollar general for $19.99 well my husband turned it the lantern on and it worked brand new batteries and then he shut it off and I said keep it on for a while and when he try to turn it back on it was not working at all he changed the batteries still no good it was a dud so be ware bad product. We live on a fixed income that is not a good way to treat people. Bulbhead lantern is no good. When I needed it it failed. Bulbhead.com your product failed the test in the house not outside failed.

When I completely drop the lid the light does not turn off. It still shows in the slight gap between the lid and base. The only way I can save the batteries is to remove them until needed. If I am doing something wrong, please write a review with your helpful hint. The light is great when in use.

Just bought an Atomic Beam Lantern at Wal-Mart and I am taking it back. The light isn't bright at all, it's very weak. If it had been bright as advertised I would have gone back and bought two more. Instead, I am taking this one back and getting a refund. I was afraid it was too good to be true. Most stuff "as seen on tv" is poor quality.
