To start using your Aquassage system, remove your existing showerhead and replace it with this showerhead and its overhead bracket. It's specified that you should be able to complete the replacement without tools. Once the showerhead's in place, its brass ball joint will enable you to adjust the angle of the overhead bracket to the ideal angle for you.
At this point, if you want to mount the included low-reach bracket and brush holder in your shower or tub, you can do so. The low-reach bracket may come in handy if you want to sit down in the shower or bath while using your showerhead in a hand-held manner. For aesthetic reasons, it's best to mount the bracket and the brush holder near each other.
Once everything's securely in place, you can turn on your shower as you normally would, and leave your showerhead resting in its overhead bracket or remove it to turn it into a hand-held showerhead. As a hand-held device, its six-foot hose will give it a far reach in multiple directions. To cycle through the 10 water flow settings to see which one you like best, simply turn the dial on the showerhead. For low water pressure, press the button below the dial, and for high water pressure, leave the button alone.
If you want to exfoliate your skin, or massage and detangle your hair while you're showering, you can snap one or both of the included brushes on and off your showerhead in seconds. Soap or shampoo can be added to either brush.
When you're done showering and cleansing yourself with the Aquassage system, turn off your shower as you normally would. Hang the showerhead from the overhead bracket or the low-reach bracket, and hang the two accompanying brushes from the brush holder or store them in another clean, dry place.
The Aquassage system is available in three different finishes (bronze, chrome, or nickel) so you can choose the shade that will look best in your shower or tub. No matter what finish you choose, your showerhead and its accompanying accessories will have a shiny appearance.
Each Aquassage showerhead has a clog-resistant design that'll help all the nozzles on each showerhead remain free of clogs. As a result, you'll get better water pressure out of this showerhead than you'd get from one with nozzles that are more prone to clogging. Better water pressure may allow you to effectively clean yourself in a shorter period of time than you normally would, which may result in savings on your water bills.
Some bath brushes, loofahs, and washcloths can pick up lots of germs and just rub them back into your pores as you use them to clean your skin. That won't be the case with your Aquassage brushes, though, as they're made of anti-microbial material. This material will help prevent bacteria from accumulating on the surface of each brush, and along with the showerhead's help, they'll quickly wash away dirt and dead skin cells for you as you bathe.
Some people have difficulty reaching their back (particularly their lower back) or their feet with an ordinary loofah or washcloth, especially if they're overweight, inflexible, or have other mobility challenges. With the six-foot (72-inch) handle attached to your hand-held Aquassage showerhead, however, you shouldn't have a problem reaching and washing any part of your body without struggling or straining your muscles or joints.
This showerhead system hasn't been designed to fit in a tub or shower of a specific shape or size. Instead, the showerhead should connect to any pipe on which a standard showerhead has previously been installed. Consequently, if you move from one house or apartment to another, you'll likely be able to bring this type of showerhead with you and set it up in your new home. Likewise, if you have multiple bathrooms in your home, you'll likely be able to install this type of showerhead in each one.
Senior citizens who struggle to stand up in the shower for an extended period of time, but still want to clean every inch of their body thoroughly, may benefit from using Aquassage. With this type of showerhead, you'll be able to sit down in your tub or sit on a stool in your shower and gently pull the showerhead toward you for cleansing. If you don't have the energy to stand up to your full height and hang the showerhead back on the overhead bracket, you can always install and use the low-reach bracket.
This type of showerhead can also be useful for parents who want to bathe their kids or help their kids access hard-to-reach areas that don't always get cleaned properly with an ordinary washcloth. Once you put your child in the bath or shower, you can show them how to aim the hand-held showerhead between their toes or toward their lower back so they'll get as clean as possible. If your child's super-young, you can even hold the hand-held showerhead yourself and wash certain areas of their skin for them.
When you're using your Aquassage showerhead as a hand-held showerhead, there's a higher chance that water could escape from your shower than there would be if you were using a mounted showerhead. To stop water from going all over your bathroom floor and possibly leaking through the floor into the room underneath, make sure your shower doors or curtain are closed super-securely before you use this showerhead. It's also best to aim the showerhead toward the wall furthest away from the doors or curtain, whenever possible.
If you exfoliate your face or your body regularly, you may find that you're replacing your ordinary brushes or washcloths every month because of a buildup of dirt. Alternatively, if you start using the exfoliation brush that's included with your Aquassage showerhead, its anti-microbial bristles will fight dirt buildup. You'll also be able to hang it (along with the scalp brush) from your brush holder instead of sitting it on a shower shelf or on the side of your tub. If you store your brushes in this way, they may last for years before they need to be replaced.
