This particular design does not tell you how long the battery lasts. Which is problematic for anyone who needs to know that it will not simply die in the middle of a long drive or a long period of studying.

Does It Really Work?
There is no denying that there are dangers with drowsiness especially when you are driving or trying to perform critical tasks. The anti-sleep alarms are meant to be an inexpensive and simple solution to drowsiness especially for drivers. Unfortunately this anti-sleep alarm fall short of scientific collaboration and research necessary. This unit utilizes real-time technology, the idea that it will alert you as soon as your head starts to tilt. Their alarm is triggered as soon as the app recognizes or thinks it has recognized a sleep incident. The real-time earpiece response only when it registers that something is not right. However understand that by that time as the driver you might have already slipped into a micro sleep which has caused you to cross into a different lane.
Theoretically the angle associated with the alarm on this particular application is sort of meant as making up the difference between a real-time application and predictive application. Insofar as it monitors once your head reaches a particular angle which is theoretically the angle right before you have fallen asleep.
Unfortunately programs like this one meant to keep you alert do not really work. They monitor your actions and they only react once a potential incident has occurred.
Without even realizing that you are tired micro sleep can take place with almost little to no warning. In some cases micro sleep follows common signs of drowsiness like constant yawning, your inability to remember the last few minutes of driving, or feeling like your eyelids are heavy. However, in other cases though it happens without any warning. It is for this reason that devices like this might not work as effectively if you are drowsy. That being said, in cases where you are not in harms way such as just trying to study, it might not be as wasteful an item but you should not expect it to work wonders.
