The Angel Cradle Pillow is a white pillow with wings intended for the bedroom. These wings are meant to keep your head and neck in an ideal postural position, regardless of whether you're sleeping on your back, your stomach, or one side. It's purported that keeping your head positioned between the wings will help with spine alignment and effective breathing while you're lying down. Each of these pillows comes with a white pillowcase that's been designed to fit the pillow's unique dimensions.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Place Pillow on Flat Surface

To get started with your Angel Cradle Pillow, place it on the flat surface (such as your bed or sofa) that you'll be using for sleep. If you'll be sleeping on your back or side, the wings should be facing upward and the pillow should appear to be slightly wider than it is tall. In the event that it appears taller than it is wide, you'll need to rotate it about 90 degrees. Stomach sleepers can place their pillow in the same position or flip it over and rotate it 90 degrees so that one arm can be slid underneath.

  2. Lie Down

Once your pillow has been set up, you can lie down as you normally would. If the wings on your pillow are resting face-up, make sure that you place your head directly in between them. Alternatively, if you'll be sleeping on your stomach and the wings are facing down, with one at the top and one at the bottom, you'll be able to choose one arm to slide between them.

  • Compact Size

Each of these pillows is fairly compact, with a width of 14.56 inches and a height of 10.62 inches. To put things into perspective, standard pillows are normally about 20 inches tall and 26 inches wide. However, the Angel Cradle Pillow has a fairly generous depth (measuring 7.28 inches). In general, though, this pillow's dimensions make it quite lightweight and an ideal one to travel with.

  • Comes With Pillowcase

So you can avoid trying to stuff one into a standard-sized pillowcase, every Angel Cradle Pillow comes with its own pillowcase in a matching shade. You can use these pillows without cases, but it's better to put a case on each one to let the case pick up any dust and dirt instead of allowing the pillow to do so.

  • Quick-Dry Fabric

The fabric used to make each of these pillows should feel soft and cool to the touch, but perhaps most importantly, it's been designed to dry quickly. Therefore, if you tend to perspire a lot during sleep, you likely won't find your pillow sopping wet when you wake up in the morning. It'll also dry quickly if you happen to spill water on it or sleep on it with wet hair.

  • Machine Washable

These pillows are machine washable, and their cases are, too, so if you've got a working washing machine, you'll never have to worry about hand-washing them or bringing them to a dry cleaner's. Plus, it's even safe to put them through the dryer when you're done washing them—without being concerned about the size or texture of their material changing.

Positive Points

  • May Help With Pain Relief

If you sleep with your head and neck in a curved position or let them loll from side to side as you rest, you may wake up with pain or stiffness in those areas. Fortunately, by helping you keep your head positioned at an ideal angle all night, the Angel Cradle Pillow with wings will reduce the probability that you'll wake up with this kind of pain. If you can start your day feeling pleasantly rested, instead of starting it with discomfort in your head or neck, you may be able to accomplish much more than you otherwise would.

  • Good Choice for Asthmatics

The ideal angle that this type of pillow will help your head remain at is not only good for posture, but it's also good for breathing. Consequently, this pillow is a great choice for asthmatics or anyone who suffers from any kind of breathing difficulties. The pillow will keep your airways positioned at an angle that will help you breathe steadily all night, so you'll be less likely to wake up due to wheezing. Furthermore, if you sometimes have to use an inhaler in the middle of the night, this type of pillow may allow you to skip that.

  • Can Use With Other Pillows

Those people who like to sleep with multiple pillows on their bed will still be able to benefit from using an Angel Cradle Pillow. You can stack this pillow on top of other pillows of a standard size and shape, but you must place this one on the top of the stack in order to benefit from it. If you were to bury it underneath others, you wouldn't be able to benefit from the head position (or arm position, for stomach sleepers) that the wings allow for.

Negative Points

  • No Alternative Shade

The white shade that each of these pillows comes in will appeal to many people, but some may find it a drawback. If you tend to sweat all over your pillow, you might prefer one that's not white, as sweat can leave stains even after it dries. With most white pillows, covering each one with a darker pillowcase can be a workable solution, but this particular pillow may not fit into standard pillowcases, and any included cases will also be white.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Bring Along in Car

If you tend to place your neck at an awkward angle while you're driving and feel some strain afterward because of it, this type of pillow may help you out in your vehicle. To help yourself keep your head straight as you drive, position your pillow against your seat's headrest with the wings facing outward. Following that, place your head between the wings as you would while you're in bed—just make sure you stay awake! The same thing can be done if you're a front-seat passenger instead of the driver.

  2. Use During Exercise

Resting your head on a cold, hard floor during exercise can be uncomfortable, and may actually make some people want to stay away from the whole activity. Luckily, you can avoid resting your head on the floor by using your Angel Cradle Pillow as a headrest instead, though. It'll serve as an excellent headrest while you lie down and do leg lifts or exercise your arms by lifting dumbbells into the air. Many people allow their chin to jut forward and their neck to tense up as they work out, but your pillow will help mitigate that problem.
