How to Use (Step by Step)
- Comb Pet's Fur
To get started with your Alpha Pro grooming tool, get your pet settled in a comfortable place, either indoors or outdoors. They can be standing, sitting up, or lying down, as long as they're comfortable and relaxed. As they sit, stand, or lie down, simply start running the tool's comb through their fur in a gentle manner. Aside from the back, the tool can safely be used on the stomach, under the arms, and behind the ears—basically, anywhere besides the areas around the eyes, nose, or mouth.
- Remove Knots (optional)
If your dog or cat's coat is fairly smooth to start with, you may not hit any knots. However, if you do, you can press the silver button on the back of your tool, which is known as the Alpha Pro button. This will enable you to eliminate each knot quickly, without making your pet uncomfortable. Pressing this button will also activate the tool's built-in light, which will help you see any knot more clearly if you're in a dark or dim area. Throughout your grooming session, you'll be able to use this button as many times as you'd like.
- Release Pet
When you've removed all the tangles from your pet's coat, it'll be time to release them from your care so that they can go about their day. You could probably use the tool safely on a large farm animal, but they have coats with different textures, and this tool hasn't been designed to effectively groom those.
- Sometimes Makes Noise
When you're using this tool just to comb your pet's fur, it won't make noise, but it'll make a fairly loud whirring noise when you activate the Alpha Pro button. This likely won't be loud enough to scare your pet out of a grooming session entirely, but it could momentarily irritate them. Over time, with multiple presses of the button, it could also irritate you and any other people who are hanging around as your pet is being groomed.
