Alien Tape Strips are transparent, reusable pre-cut strips of adhesive that have been designed to bond virtually any two surfaces together. In each box of these compact strips, you'll receive 48 strips, which means that in a set of three boxes, you'll get a total of 144. When you need to reuse the strips, it's specified that all you need to do is rinse them and let them dry, and no sticky residue will be left behind where they were before.
The cost of Alien Tape Strips is $19.99 and the shipping is FREE!
Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page: alienstrips.com
Once you've opened your first box of Alien Tape Strips, before you can use one of the strips, you'll have to peel the backing off of both sides.
Next, use your first strip to bond two dry surfaces together, such as a framed picture and a wall, your cell phone and your desk, or two sides of a broken plastic toy. The tape is double-sided and powerful, so the bond should almost instantly occur on both sides.
Following the addition of an adhesive strip, use the two objects you bonded in the way that you normally would. Alien Tape Strips can tolerate getting wet or being subjected to adverse weather conditions, so even if the objects are outdoors or don't remain dry, the sticky bond shouldn't be broken.
If necessary, repeat the first to third steps above with other objects that need to be bonded together. You'll be able to bond up to 48 surfaces before you use up one box of adhesive strips. Keep in mind that while objects can get wet after they've been bonded with one of these strips, they should be as dry as possible when you initially add a particular strip.
To break the bond between two objects that you've taped with one of your strips, so you can reuse the strip again, twist one of the objects gently. This will cause the objects to stop sticking together, and once that happens, you'll be able to quickly peel off the adhesive strip you used to attach them.
Any strip you're going to reuse should be as clean as possible, so you'll need to rinse each one in your sink to remove any residue of the objects it was attached to. There's no need to use soap, though, and this might actually interfere negatively with the effectiveness of the Alien Tape Strips.
Once you've rinsed off a strip, sit it in a flat position in a safe place so it can dry off. Only when it's fully dry should you pick it up and use it to bond two different objects together. Otherwise, if it's even a bit wet, it may not be as sticky as it needs to be to create a solid bond.
All of the Alien Tape Strips in these boxes of 48 are transparent, which means that once you add a strip to a particular set of objects, it'll be highly inconspicuous. On the other hand, if you were to use silver or black duct tape or white masking tape for the same job, almost anyone would be able to see that you'd taped something together.
These adhesive strips will securely attach things to a wide variety of surfaces, or attach two objects made of a wide variety of materials together. When it comes to surfaces and objects, compatible materials include wood, glass, and even non-smooth surfaces such as textured stone or brick.
All of the Alien Tape Strips in each box are pre-cut, which will relieve you of the responsibility of cutting smaller pieces from a larger roll of tape. You can cut the pre-cut pieces down to an even smaller size if you'd like, but you probably won't need to, unless you're bonding a couple of very tiny objects.
When you've used one or more Alien Tape Strips to bond two objects, such as a wall and a small shelf, the tape will be able to withstand the pressure of up to 17.5 pounds. If you aren't sure whether an object you want to use this tape on weighs more or less than that, simply weigh it first.
Objects that are bonded together with these strips may leave residue behind on the strips, but the strips will never leave any sticky or visible residue behind on any surface. When you pull one of these strips off a surface, it should appear as if that sticky strip was never there.
People who want to decorate the walls of their bedrooms or other rooms in their home with paintings, photos, and knick-knacks commonly use nails or glue to attach these things. However, nails can leave holes behind, and glue can leave behind a lot of stickiness, which can be a pain to clean up, especially if you have to do so quickly in a rented space. It's better to use Alien Tape Strips to attach decorative objects like this instead, most particularly if you live in a dorm room or apartment, as they won't leave a mess behind.
You may find that your Alien Tape Strips are extremely useful in regard to hanging objects from glass, as you can't add nails to glass and glue makes the aforementioned mess. If your shower door's made of glass, you may want to use one or two of these adhesive strips to temporarily or permanently hang beauty tools there. Similarly, you can also use one to attach any compact object to your mirror as you complete your morning routine.
If small objects such as your smartphone, your glasses case, or a USB cord keep going missing off your desk, dresser, or coffee table, you might decide to secure them in place with a strip. That way, they'll be right at hand when you need them, and in this case, if you're reusing them to re-attach the same objects, you won't have to rinse them before doing so.
In the event that you must repair a large object, or attach a heavy object to a particular surface, the Alien Tape Strips probably aren't the best pieces of adhesive to use. The small, pre-cut size of these strips is suitable and even ideal for most bonding jobs, but a small strip like this won't be able to hold up 20 pounds or more. Along the same lines, if you were to use these strips to repair a large object by fusing two sides, you'd need to use multiple strips, as one wouldn't be effective enough.
