My name is michael barney and i'm the inventor of the AbDominator. I'd like to set the record straight. I'll address holding weight and the flimsy comment first then your warning statement.
You stated in your comments that AbDominator can hold 250 lbs. I tested it at 450 lbs, and it held its form for 30 minutes before its started to bind the bearings. I'm 6'7"286 lbs, and use it regularly without issue.
Regarding it being flimsy, think of it like an airplane wing. During flight you can look out the window and see it flexing all over the place. This is because if it were too rigid it would snap off. Same concept with the AbDominator, if I made the plastics too ridgid, it would snap. So yes, it may feel flimsy but it will hold your weight.
Regarding your warning statement, you can strain muscles before any form of exercise. This is why we provided workout videos to follow along with. The very first and last thing on every video is stretching warmup and cool down.
