- 600 Square Feet
They are great for lighting up your home when hosting a party. You can make a 3D light show with beautiful holographic stars. The lights project up to six hundred square feet.
- Indoor or Outdoor
StarTastic is designed as an indoor or outdoor laser show that you can easily install in your home. By design it projects red and / or green laser lights onto your house so that you can have a big light show similar to hundreds of stars, without costing you a fortune.
- Fast Decorations
If you so choose, you can use StarTastic as a fast way to decorate for the holidays. With the green or red / green color options, it is ideally suited for holiday decorations for a home or office. If you want to use it indoors, you can create the perfect party ambiance, directing the laser light show across a big wall. Alternatively you can shine the light out across the moving pool water where the reflective surfaces will force the lights to dance.
With the lights you get additional safety. Unlike motion sensor lights which only turn on when there is movement, these lights automatically turn on at night and stay on. So, even if you are out of town or out late one night, the lights will turn on and keep your home well-lit. This is a good deterrent for most minor criminal activity. What’s more, it keeps your home well-lit for your return, giving you a safe path to walk from your car to your front door.

Once it is placed into the ground, you want to point the light at your desired location. The angle is easily adjusted so your liking.
After it is where you want it, enjoy a finished light display that is simple and beautiful, lighting up your entire home in just minutes.
StarTastic offers a great way of saving money on the cost of lighting up your home. Traditional lights can be very expensive to operate, with costs getting incrementally higher the more lights you put around your home. Using this single unit allows users the chance to cover a wider area with only one or two units. This is better than having to install string after string of lights or plant row after row of LED lights throughout the property.
This unit saves you time in two ways. The first is more miniscule. You save time by not having to turn your lights on or off. Once it is plugged in, you can leave it plugged in and the unit will automatically turn on or off based on the daylight outside. For those who have bigger yards, the move to and from the lighting units can be time consuming, but this tool alleviates that time. The second way is saves time is a bit larger. You save time that you would otherwise spend trying to install lights all around your home. Most people turn to strings of lights similar to holiday decorations and use these, but installing them is time consuming. Using StarTastic saves you this time.
- Needs an Outlet
This unit still has to be plugged in. So, if your home does not have external plugs where you need them, you are forced to use alternative lighting sources. Alternatively you can run an extra long extension cord along your property so that you can reach StarTastic. This can be a safety hazard for some people and detract from the beauty of the home.
- Limited Colors
Another downside to this unit is that you only get two color options and one of them is a combination. You get the green only or the red and green, which are mostly suited for holiday seasons. There are no other options available at this time which means you cannot really use it as a way to light up your home any other time of the year. Conversely, you cannot light up a stage for a party outside of the holidays.
- Short Cord
The cord is quite short, so unless your power outlet is very near where you want to display the light, you will need an extension cord.
How It Works
Running off of a power source, like an outlet, this unit just plugs in like any other light, inside or out. The built-in sensor detects daylight or night time which is how it can automatically turn the lights on or off. You can leave it plugged in all the time, if you choose. It will still use a small amount of power because it does not drain power when shut off, only when turned on at night.
How it's Different from Competitors
This unit is different insofar as the automatic function that turns it on or off. Other laser lights do not have this.
- Don't Shine up
The FAA has made it clear since 2015 that displaying laser lights outdoors can be dangerous to pilots flying overhead. It is advised that any consumers who are using laser lights outdoors point them downward or directly to the house, not up. Additionally, you are advised not to look directly into the laser yourself or it can cause damage to your eyes.
- Laser Lights
Star Shower Laser Light is one alternative, as is the Star Shower Motion device. Another alternative is the Star Shower Patriot. All three are almost identical. On the market too are options with remote controls such as the 1byone Outdoor Laser.
