Star Shower Motion
The Star Shower Motion is a laser light unit that can project thousands of star-like points onto houses and other objects. It was originally developed to be a pain-free alternative to traditional outdoor holiday lights but people have discovered its worth as a year-round decoration provider. This product offers both stationary and moving light patterns in red and green. Weather is not an issue for the device as it has several features that keep it steady and safe.
Total Cost Breakdown
- Projection Choices
A large button on top of the Star Shower Motion will change the projected lights from an all green pattern to one that is a mix of both red and green. Similarly, a switch on the back of this device allows the user to alternate from stationary lighting to full motion "star" displays.
- Simple Setup
One of the most advertised benefits of this projector is its easy setup. This holds especially true when compared to the fiasco that can happen when putting up the usual holiday lights. It just needs to be placed at an appropriate distance from the target and plugged into an extension cord or a socket if one is available.
There are several characteristics that help to protect the lighting system from the natural elements. While providing a shield from rain and snow, the durable casing is capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from -31 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit ( -35 to 40 Celsius ). Additionally, a long stake will help anchor the projector deep into the ground as a solution in case of significant winds.
- Placement Options
The obvious use for the unit is to decorate a large area such as a house. Alternatively, it is safe to use the device indoors. It will work with home outlets and can fill an entire room with "stars" when positioned accordingly.
- Don't Stare
While the lasers in this projector are designed to not hurt the eyes of pets or humans, it is advised that direct staring be avoided. Staring into any light source for an extended period of time can increase the risk of several conditions.
- Short Cord
Extension cords are a common companion for decorative lighting and this is likely to be no exception. Customers who wish to use the projector outside will likely need to use an extension cord due to the distance required for the effect to work properly.
- Aim Carefully
Lasers are a big concern for pilots and law enforcement as they can cause visibility problems very quickly. This product should never be pointed toward any point in the sky or skyline.

It seems that the motion setting button does not remember the last setting when power is turned off then on.
I tested the unit by plugging it in and selecting the red+green led setting. The leds projected were stationary. I then pressed the button to select the led motion on. The leds did a nice job of randomly changing.
I then power cycled the unit. When the leds came back on they were not in motion but were stationary.
This is not what I expected. I expected the unit to return to the led motion setting.
Is there a way to make the unit always power up with the led motion on ?
