Instant 911

1 Votes

Instant 911 is a two-way communication device that you can use to speak to a 911 operator when you're experiencing an emergency. All you'll need to do is press the big red first aid symbol on the front of the device, and you'll be instantly connected to someone who can help. This communication tool will work anywhere a cell phone works in the United States, at any time. It's ideal for seniors, children, and anyone who does a lot of driving, walking, or jogging in the dark.

How It Works

Once you've pressed the big red button on the front, Instant 911 will enable you to speak with a 911 operator about the problem you're experiencing. You'll be able to hear the operator clearly ( and be heard clearly as you speak, too ) due to the device's built-in high-definition microphone and speaker. Due to clear and prompt communication between yourself and the operator, they'll be able to direct any emergency personnel that you need toward your location as quickly as possible.

Features

  • Red and White

Since this device is red and white with a First Aid symbol, and is clearly labeled Instant 911, most people will recognize that it's an emergency device as opposed to an ordinary cell phone. Hence, if you carry one of these and start to have a physical emergency, anyone who's with you will likely know what to do with the tool.

  • Lightweight and Compact

While this device doesn't look like an ordinary cell phone, it's about the same size and weight as one, so it'll fit in most handbags or pockets and won't be a struggle to carry.

  • Comes With Lanyard and Clip

Instant 911 comes with a lanyard and belt clip, so besides carrying it in a bag or pocket, you'll also have the option of wearing it around your neck or clipping it to your clothing. If you want to conceal it from view, you may choose to go with the lanyard option and stick it inside your shirt.

  • High-definition Speaker

When you're communicating with 911 personnel, their voice( s ) will come through this device via a built-in speaker, so you won't need to hold it up to your ear to make out their words.

  • Long-lasting Battery

This tool comes with a long-lasting battery inside, so charging it every couple of days, as you'd likely do with an ordinary cell phone, will not be necessary.

Positive Points

  • No Numbers to Dial

When you use Instant 911, you won't have to dial a single number in order to reach an operator. Therefore, if you get flustered during an emergency and become forgetful, you'll still be able to quickly make your 911 call.

  • Ideal for Seniors

This device is ideal for seniors who still want to be out and about on their own, but are worried about falling or having a similar type of accident. If you're a senior who carries this device and you do fall or otherwise injure yourself, you'll be able to get help in just seconds.

  • Kids Can Carry

Parents tend to worry about kids when they're away from home on their own, but having your child clip Instant 911 to their pants before going out to play can help assuage some worry.

  • Helpful at Night

If you like spending a lot of time on the road or outdoors at night, or are required to for work, you may choose to carry this device with you. It may come in handy if you encounter a predator or accidentally hurt yourself in the dark.

Negative Points

  • Only Works in United States

Instant 911 is only guaranteed to work in the United States, so if you travel to Canada, Mexico, or overseas, you'll have to figure out other safety measures.

Sort of a Bait and Switch

When you order the Instant 911 that does not require a monthly fee, you are asked if you want to add the $9.99 per month GPS upgrade. Since this is what really makes the unit useful from anywhere, especially if you can't tell the 911 operator your location, it really is sort of a bait and switch to something that does have reoccurring monthly costs.
