Hydroblast

4 Votes

Hydroblast is a more effective alternative to string floss, which can leave behind a lot of plaque. This device uses water pressure to blast away unwanted bacteria and plaque, leaving your mouth cleaner and much more hygienic. Thus, this method of teeth cleaning is more effective than string floss since it actually removes 99.9 percent of plague after each session. You also do not have to dig in between your teeth to get that clean feeling either. Simply move the Hydroblast in slow arch motions near your gum line and allow this cleaning device to do all the work for you.

The Claim

If you are tired of the poor results you see from flossing, or simply hate the task – the Hydroblast can serve as an effective alternative. Instead of having to place string floss in between each of your teeth, you can use Hydroblast to blast away plague with water pressure. This method is gentle and easy enough for children to use, but strong enough to get rid of plague in between adult teeth. You would be surprised how much plague your string floss is leaving behind, which can lead to gum disease and gunky build up over time. Hydroblast’s aim is to eliminate that plague for good.

Total Cost Breakdown

The cost of Hydroblast is $19.95 plus $8.95 shipping. The special TV offer allows you to receive a second Hydroblast by paying the extra shipping fee of $8.95 for a total price of $37.85.

Features

  • 360 Degree Rotation
  • This device rotates 360 degrees so that your wrist does a minimal amount of work. Simply place the Hydroblast on your teeth and gently move it in the direction of the plague areas. The brush will rotate for you as you move, so you can reach all the essential places where plaque likes to hide.

  • Kid Friendly
  • This device is so easy to use that even children can safely get rid of plague on their teeth without the help of adults. The water pressure is gentle enough to blast away bacteria on children even as they are holding the device themselves.

Pros

  • 2 Pressure Settings
  • Since users will have different preferences for how strong they prefer their water pressure, the Hydroblast comes with two different settings. This way, users can choose whether they want stronger or softer water pressure as they blast away plague with the Hydroblast. Additionally, these two options allow children to choose the lower setting for a more comfortable plaque removal experience.

  • Safe on Braces and Crowns
  • Those that have had extensive dental work done can still safely use the Hydroblast. It is safe on braces, bridges and crowns. This gives everyone the option to use water pressure instead of string floss to clean their teeth and gums.

Cons

  • Can be More Messy
  • Since you are dealing with water, this method of teeth cleaning can be more messy than using floss. The potential for the water to spill onto the countertop or outside of your mouth may cause unwanted messes. For this reason, some users may prefer flossing instead of using the Hydroblast.

  • Bulky Design
  • For those that are on the go or have limited space, the bulky design of the Hydroblast might be undesirable. It is more bulky than an electric toothbrush and much larger than a container of dental floss. This large size can be problematic for those traveling with this product.

How It Works

The Hydroblast uses water pressure to blast away almost all of the plaque in your mouth. Simply fill it with water, position it and turn the Hydroblast on. Start at the back of your mouth and work your way all the way around in arch like motions. You should be focusing on the area between the gums and the teeth where plaque likes to hide, along with the areas in between your teeth.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Use for One Minute a Day
  2. To get the best results, use this device for at least one minute per day. This way, you will be blasting away plaque before it has the chance to cause lasting damage. Just one minute a day of using the Hydroblast is enough to gain all the benefits from water pressure flossing.

  3. Go Slowly When Using
  4. In order to make sure the Hydroblast is blasting away all of the plague in your mouth, use slow motions. Going slower gives the device a chance to deep clean your teeth each time you use it, resulting in plaque free gums and teeth.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does it Whiten Teeth?

Doesn't Work

Received a Hydroblast Pro as a gift and first time trying to use it, it won't work. Tested the batteries and they're good. Even tried different batteries and it still won't work. Not a drop of water.

I had the same issue, however I found I was putting the batteries in. My symbols were mixed up on the thing and with some experimenting it started working. I love it now.

Works with Alkaline Batteries

Why doesn't the manufacture bother to tell consumers the product works just fine with alkaline batteries. The heavy duty batteries do bit with - the must be alkaline. Then the product works just fine.

My Hydroblast PRO is broken. When I put in new batteries it doesn't work at all. It doesn't even squirt out a drop of water.
