I have a Question

I bought the Spin Mop and I love it since I cannot wring a mop out. I have had it about 2 months and all of a sudden, when I place the mop head in the spinner and push down on the peddle, I have to pick the mop up out of the spinner in order for the peddle to come back up. In order to get the water out of the mop, I have to do this over and over and it takes forever! What is the problem?
