Green Gobbler

26 Votes

Green Gobbler is a cleaning solution that comes in pre-measured packets. One packet is normally suitable for each use. This product will clean almost any substance out of a clogged drain or pipe. The solution is powdered, so it needs to be mixed with hot water when you pour it down a drain or pipe. After you do so, it will begin dissolving and emulsifying any dirt found within, and the pipe or drain will end up completely clear in minutes. Its ingredients are eco-friendly, and they're safe to use within any pipe. You can use the solution within toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, and garbage disposals.

The Claim

In the infomercial, it is claimed that the powdered solution is powerful enough to dissolve even a solid block of grease. It is shown emulsifying a thick hunk of grease that’s been put into a sample tube. This product is also shown going head-to-head against a toxic drain cleaner, with each attempting to clean out a sample pipe filled with a variety of dirt. Green Gobbler is able to make short work of all the dirt when mixed with hot water, yet the other cleaner is unable to budge it at all. The infomercial also makes reference to the fact that this solution has been approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Total Cost Breakdown

The cost of Green Gobbler is $10.00 plus $6.99 shipping. The special TV offer allows you to receive a second Green Gobbler by paying the extra shipping fee of $6.99 for a total price of $23.98.

How It Works

Green Gobbler is a powdered cleaning solution that will clean nearly any substance out of any drain or pipe. Once you pour it down the pipe with some hot water, the solution’s secret formula will get to work dissolving and emulsifying things like grease, hair, and toothpaste. It will even dissolve thicker things like paper, organic matter, and feminine products. After it has done its job, your drain or pipe will be completely clear and clean again.

Uses

  1. Toilets
  2. If you’ve flushed something down the toilet that’s too big, and it’s clogged your pipes, Green Gobbler can easily unclog them. It’s especially useful when you need to clear out feminine sanitary pads that have been flushed.

  3. Tubs And Showers
  4. Shower and tub drains often get clogged by hair, grease, or soap scum, but Green Gobbler will quickly and easily flush these things out, too.

  5. Sinks
  6. Sinks will frequently become clogged by the same items that tubs and showers do, plus toothpaste, as people brush their teeth. Luckily, Green Gobbler will empty all of these unwanted substances out of your sink pipes.

  7. Garbage Disposals
  8. Garbage disposals can become clogged with organic matter, but Green Gobbler will dissolve and emulsify even the heaviest pieces.

Positive Points

  • Suitable For All Pipes
  • Green Gobbler is safe to use within all pipes, including ones made out of copper, cast iron, and PVC plastic.

  • Pre-measured Packets
  • Instead of coming in a box or can, this cleaning solution comes in pre-measured packets. Normally, one packet is suitable for each use, so you won’t have to do a lot of measuring.

  • Epa Approved
  • Green Gobbler has been approved for use by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, due to its eco-friendliness.

Negative Points

  • Creates Garbage
  • Coincidentally enough, even though the product is eco-friendly, using it can create a fair amount of garbage, as each packet needs to be thrown out after use.

  • Uses Your Hot Water
  • Since you have to add your own hot water to Green Gobbler in order for it to work, this could run up your water bill if you use it frequently.

  • Comes In Package Of Six
  • When you get a package of Green Gobbler, you end up with six pre-measured packages to use. That means unless you purchase more than one package at a time, you’ll have to get a replacement package after about six uses.

Infomercial

On the infomercial, this product and a toxic drain cleaner are compared. Two sample pipes are set up side by side, and the drain cleaner is poured into one, while Green Gobbler and hot water are poured into another. Green Gobbler is able to effectively dissolve all the dirt within its pipe, and this dirt quickly runs out the other end. However, the other drain cleaner can’t even get the other pipe’s dirt to budge. Later, Green Gobbler is also shown dissolving a thick, solid piece of grease.

Save Time

By using Green Gobbler, you’ll cut down on the amount of time it takes to clear out a clogged drain or pipe. This product will dissolve and destroy virtually all forms of dirt much faster than its competitors can.

I Regret Buying it!

Made Things Worse

My slight slow drain in the bathroom sink was made into a NO drain after using this product, plus the house smelled of rotten eggs.

I have read the packaging over and over, I followed the instructions to the letter. And now reading the previous review, I worry about my metal pipes. It is supposed to be safe on plastic, copper and other household pipes, plus toilets and Septic systems.

The Green Gobbler is not a good product, do NOT purchase. Unless you like stained porcelain, rotten egg smells, and an unusable sink. I'll probably have to call a plumber to fix the mess made by Green Gobbler.

Don't Buy

It corrodes your pipes made of metal. I don't recommend this product and once you co tact company the only thing the offer is the $9 rebate. All the false promises and then unwillingness to fix the problem their product caused is enough for me to pass word around. Be very careful what you put in your drains people!

I have a Question

I did not understand. Do I flush after I add Green Gobbler to the toilet? And do I need to add hot water to the toilet?
