    .

  • No Restrictions on Cooking Method

Regardless of how the hot dog is cooked, the Curl A Dog can be used to create evenly cooked hot dogs. Even on the barbeque, the spiral shape will hold an even char without the center becoming burnt.

  • Flavor Pockets for Condiments

The flavor pockets allow for even spacing of condiments and protects them from soaking into the bun. This prevents soggy buns which no-one enjoys.

Alternatives

  • Skewer and a Knife

In the past, to create a spiraled hot dog you needed to use a knife. This was not a child-friendly method and often resulted in hot dogs being cut all the way through or uneven spiral segments. As this was not an ideal method, it was often overlooked. Now with the Curl A Dog, this spiral pattern is easy to create the desired spiral pattern without the danger or inconsistency of past methods.

  • Spiral Cutters

There are also spiral cutters which can obtain the spiral effect desired by the Curl A Dog. These tools are often very restrictive in the size of hot dog's diameter and leave a sharp cutting edge exposed when not in use. They also are less child-friendly because they do not offer support of the hot dog and often children will find they accidentally break their dinner.

Easy to Use

  1. Choose the Size, Insert Hotdog

To use the Curl A Dog, you just need to place a hot dog inside the correct-sized device. If the larger device is chosen for a smaller hot dog it may cut either too deep or too shallow. Therefore it is important to choose the smallest size that the hot dog will fit in comfortably.

  2. Close the Lid

Once the hot dog has been placed, carefully close the lid. This will slice the hot dog into the classic spiral shape creating the flavor packets for your condiments. Closing the lid does not require a lot of force and even young children are able to complete this task and often enjoy the opportunity to help.

  3. Insert Skewer

After the lid has been closed, insert the skewer into the end to ensure the hot dog does not fall apart. While it is possible to use the Curl A Dog without the skewer, this increases the ease of removal and reduces the risk of hot dog breakage.

  4. Cook

Now the hot dog is now ready to be cooked in any fashion you desire. Whether you want to boil or barbeque the hot dog, the included serving ideas book will give you plenty of ideas.

Just wanna say that the elliot in the missouri review is not the elliot involved in the actual product development. The wonderful and explanatory elliot ms review is from an actual buyer and user of the product, and thank you, elliot. From this one.
( I too, love the product. It does work great, and we, the developers, remain delighted as to how well it actually works, and how noticeably better the hotdogs taste. We did not invent spiralizing hot dogs. We simply invented the best, safest, and quickest way to spiralize them there doggies ).

This Thing Actually Works Great

For years people have been catching on about spiral cutting hot dogs. The issue has not been the destination, but rather the route to get there. If you read third party reviews of some well intended prior products, they're awkward, time consuming and sometimes you can't get the spiralized dog out of the contraption. Curl A Dog has you quickly and easily placing the dog into the unit, sticking in a skewer ( it always aligns, thanks to the unit design ), closing the unit, opening the unit, and there you go. Yes - we invented this product, but what also should be known is that I personally often refer to myself as a "kitchen cripple" - I am typically thick-fingered and sloppy ( and sometimes lazy ) re food preparation. Even I can do this. It takes no time, it works, it cleans up easily. All that stuff.
