Oh my God it Works!

I got this as a present and I have long, thick, black hair which hair spray rarely ever works on and it colored in seconds! I don't understand why people would worry about the whole cancer thing, either. The only reason they put that on the bottle is because, like, everything has to have that label to be sold. Also, it works on my sister's long, thick, light brunnette hair, so I don't know what the heck the one-stars are about.

Love It!

I have dark brown hair and the teal looks great! I wish they had more colors. The thin sprayer doesn't look very stable, so I'm hoping it doesn't break. Other than that, I love it!

Calm Downit's Great!

I bought it. I have jet black hair and its braided and it I can see the color perfectly. You guys probably got faulty cans.
As for the cancer warning. They put that on everything. Anything can cause cancer anymore so relax. It's a great product and I totally recommend.

Total Rip-off

Besides the fact that I, too, did not read until afterward that it contains products known to cause cancer, the stuff just does not work. I have very short hair and ended up spraying on the entire can and had almost NO color. Had to look closely to see it, and it was gone within a few hours. A complete waste of ten bucks.

Could Cause Cancer?

I really wanted to try it but there is a warning label that says "contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer". Don't think I'm gonna buy it now.

Here in California that same cancer notice is posted everywhere. It's legally required and posted anywhere and everywhere there is even a slight possibility of something slightly dangerous. Like Disneyland, Starbucks, movie theaters. . . Literally anywhere. So I'm not sure how super worried you should be about this product.

Way Too Small of a Can

My daughter was able to color 4 individual waves on one side of her head before the can ran out. There should be enough in the can to highlight your entire head; we weren't trying to color all of the hair. At least two bottles are needed, and it's crazy to spend $20 at least for color that only lasts one shampoo.

Don't Buy

The bottles are so small you would need at least 3 to do a full head of short hair and have it brightly colored. The colors aren't vibrant at all unless you use a lot. Plus, the price for that tiny bottle is not worth it at all.

Why are you using this to color your full head of hair? I don't think that's what its intended for.

It specifically says it can be used on your whole head, so maybe that's why.

I haven't yet tried Chromolights & won't based upon the reviews! I use an excellent product: color styling mousse by keune ( I use flame red ). It comes in a 4.2oz bottle which is only half gone after I've used it dozens of times all over my long, thick hair! I color my hair with permanent red dye but red fades SO fast that I use the mousse 1-2 weeks after dying my hair & the coverage is so good that I can go 8-9 weeks between dying it again instead of 4! ! It was $19 at Boston Beauty Supply (I'm sure they have a website shoeing where else to buy it. . . ). The color isn't metallic, but it's really vibrant, doesn't flake or fade and also works as a styling mousse!

I have a Question

Can this be used on very dark, or black hair? My natural hair color is near black, and I color my hair. Will this matter?

I have very dark brown hair. I used the teal and it is beautiful. As with any spray on dark hair it helps to be in sunlight or by a light.
